Miscellaneous / Enabling Helmets/Shoulders to appear on a model

Heya, it's me again and am back asking wonderfully stupid questions. I tried looking around for an answer, but obviously came across nothing of use, and was wondering how I'd go about enabling shoulders/helmets to show on a character that is currently in use. Like (for example), if I was using the new Genn Greymane model and wanted shoulders and helmets to show when using that model, they will appear on the character select screen and on the dressing room, but I have no clue how to get it working in game. I had a quick look in CreatureDisplayInfo to see if there was anything there, but found nothing of use.

Any help would be appreciated,

"Retro-Porting" / Nightfallen Female textures

Hey all,

Sounds a bit like a leechy thing to ask but does anyone have the NightfallenFemale textures, for some reason they end up being corrupted whenever I extract them whereas all other textures (and models) are fine. I don't need them edited or anything, and again I know it sounds a bit like a leech but I'm at a loss as to what to do regarding them, so it'd be appreciated if someone could kindly give the BLPs (I don't models or anything, that's all fine) whilst I keep looking for a cure for their corruption.

Miscellaneous / Mounts stop functioning

So, without any rhyme or reason and with no (that I'm aware of) changes to any of DBC files which may affect them, mounts have gone off the rocker and disappear as soon as they're summoned. Like, you summon the mount, it works the first time with the camera angle really far off and then summoning it again ends up with it disappearing as soon as it was summoned. I checked Spell.DBC, Creaturemodeldata.DBC and CreatureDisplayInfo.DBCs, as these were the likeliest culprits, but haven't come across any indication of what it could be, for it happens to every single character that tries to mount (aside from the HumanFemaleHD, for some reason), and for every single mount (aside from the Swift Flight Form).

Anyone who has any knowledge, or has come across this weird dismounting phenomenon, and can help would be really appreciated.

Heya, was quickly wondering if anyone had the base Legion Ashbringer model and are willing to share. It doesn't have to be converted or anything and I know it sounds leech-y, it's just that I have neither the time nor room on my computer to dedicate to downloading a Legion client just to extract and down-port one model to 3.3.5.

Modelling and Animation / Rigged model has no camera

Heya, I was wondering if anyone could tell me, or perhaps take a look at, the model I spent a few hours rigging, which works fine in things like WoWModelViewer (both before and after converting with CataToLk) but is not visible/has no camera in-game. I know the first answer to this would be to 'try again', but it took a while and spending another hour or two on something that may or may not work really doesn't appeal to me,which is why I'm asking here.

The bones and armature belonged to the Azshara model, which is what I rigged my model onto. I have not tampered with any of the armatures or bones, and I even unticked 'MergeCameras' on M2Mod with no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

I was wondering if it was possible to remove geosets using the 010 Editor, as I've had a quick search and it yielded no results pertaining to whether this was a possibility. Does anyone know if this is possible and could tell me what needs to be done if it is?

I've had a quick look, but I didn't really know what to search for, so my quick browsing didn't really yield results. Didn't really know where to ask this, but Retro-Porting is what I intend on doing with these models, so I just figured I'd post here.

Modelling and Animation / M2ModRedux Model

Heya! So, I was tweaking the Lady Vashj model by adding assets from the newer Cataclysm naga model onto it. All went well, and it showed in the Model Viewer with no glitches or underlying problems. However, after a quick spin in the CataToLK converter, in game the model itself is invisible with no camera. I tried the same model, this time with the new NagaFemale one as the M2 base, and it worked but with an expected broken mesh, so it seems the problem lies in the base model.

It doesn't seem to have been any tweak I made that broke it, for I went and converted the Lady Vashj model (the original) the same way to see if the same problem persisted, and it did, so I'm sort of confused why that model is the only one to have such issues, especially when I've edited countless models and never had such problems arise.

As redoing it (four times) didn't work, and the exact same thing occurred when I tried with the Lady Nazjar model, I was wondering if anyone had a spare moment to use their vastly superior modding knowledge to find out why this is happening and tell me what I did wrong.

Apologies if this question has been asked previously, but I was wondering if there was any way to resize the moon that appears on the default night sky - I assume, if it is at all possible, it requires the editing of textures/DBC files, but that's merely speculation, so I thought I'd ask here before I plunged blindly into resizing the moon.

So I was wondering how this thing works, as it changes the default camera so that it's attached to your arm, controls facial animations and moves your arm position, and if such a thing is too advanced of an item to replicate in a 3.3.5 server, which I'm guessing would be the case.

"Retro-Porting" / Adding Vashj'ir?

So, I was wondering if it was possible to add the entire Vashj'ir zone into a 3.3.5 server without updating the rest of the world to the post-Cataclysm state, as it's really the only zone I want from it, but have no clue how I'd go about it, considering the Classic world is smaller than the Cataclysm one (the end-of-zone boundaries would mean Vashj'ir would be out of bounds), it's very deep (going too low would result in instant-death) and, most importantly, is attached to the Cataclysm world.

Texturing and 2D Art / [SOLVED] Rigged model showing white textures

So, as usual, I did the rigging process, all seemed fine, textures and everything appeared in the WoW Model Viewer, but somehow appear white in game. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. The model is attached for anyone who wants to take a good look at it (it is a Mechari from Wildstar, if anyone's wondering). The textures need to be applied via CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc and aren't hardcoded.

Modelling and Animation / Crashing animations.

So I managed to rig a model to the 'Blood Queen' model, and, aside from numerous tweaks to the rigging, all has went well so far. I managed to get it in the game with no problem, but a crash is caused whenever I execute certain animations (the UseStandingLoop and Stealth animations to name a few, whilst normal, everyday animations like casting and standing are fine). To try to stop this problem, I renamed the BloodQueen .anim files to match my model's name, but the crashes still happened. I renamed my model to 'BloodQueen.m2' to see if that would help, but the same result ensued. I did the same with the BloodElfFemale .anim files, but the same crash occurred, leading me to believe that the problem was more technical than merely renaming and swapping files.

Any help on how to make it so the animations don't start (so there's no animation to play) or, preferably, so the animations play as intended would be great. Thanks in advance!

So, in patch 3.3.5, the event 'Scourge Invasion' is listed under the ID of 17, but obviously doesn't work due to the game having progressed considerably since it's usage in Patch 1.1 and the Wrath of the Lich King launch event, and I was wondering if there was any way I could get it working for my server in the current 3.3.5. Any help would  be appreciated, and thanks in advance!
