there are a few reasons why i'm asking it
-is it worth the time? aka would players like just 1 npc instead of 20+?  and will the server not get taken down by blizz in a few days?
-would people like to see this posted online or would nobody use it and just stay with the npc's?
-by writing something like this , would it increase my chances in joining another team? (atm im working solo as 3d and coder)

hey i've been working on an idea with eluna but i have no clue if it's worth fully writing it (it's ALOT of code).

We all know the legendary-system on retail but as i dont know how to make a custom screen like that so i started working with a gossip menu.

what does the gossip menu do?
-select item you wanna upgrade
-check if you got the requirements for x upgrade , if so, list it
-upgrade the weapon you want and take the requirement out of your bags

this removes all the npc's you see on funservers to upgrade gear and replace it with 1 npc (and just 1 menu instead of +1k quests)

Would this idea be great to complete (and maybe release it here) or not worth the time writing it (also quite some db-work)

Hello,

We are trying to convert the cata worldmap to wotlk.
Right now we know how to switch the maps but we still need to get places like uldum unselectable.
We already know how to remove the highlighting.

does someone know where we can disable the option to select uldum to see the map?

I've been working on lost-army for a while as dev but i'm looking for another server right now.

I have experience with modelling weapons and working in the database (ofc there are still things i need to learn but i'm willing to learn new things )

Atm i'm following IT on school which means i will also be able to program in the future :) .

i searched the forum but i couldnt find anything about it so im making a new topic.
i've been modelling weapons for a while now but i would like to start with making buildings.

does someone have a guide about this ? :
-max amount of polygons/triangles?
-how to export
-how to import

it's hard to do this when idk where to start with it :S

the command i use is OBJtoM2 sword_blender.obj sword_2h_ulduarraid_d_01 textures

obj file name is blender_sword
texture is in a folder called textures
weapon i wanna use is sword_2h_ulduarraid_d_01

the m2 file is searching for the right blp file

i re-imported it (re-converted texture and object) and it's still green
also the texture name in blender is fine

i used the obj to m2 converter from this forum :

i used the right settings for blender (i saved the settings so i dont have to redo everytime)

Hello,

i've been modelling and texturing items for WoW for a while now and never had problems.
today i made myself another weapon but for some reason my weapon stays green -> texture not applied
i checked everything and everything seems fine (even inside the m2 file it says it's searching for the right blp file.

this is the data i used , can someone see any problem here ?

weapon m2 file name : sword_2h_ulduarraid_d_01
weapon skin name : sword_2h_ulduarraid_d_0100
display id +texture name : 58945
item id : 46016
