[QUESTION] Serwer Modding and Client
« on: February 09, 2011, 09:08:00 pm »
Hi, i am new here and i wana ask few question's.
I heared from friend that long time ago he played on wow server , server was mod, they mad some kind of gta mmorpg - LOL. He told me that to connect to that serwer you had to have a special patch, that was builded in addon.

When i tried on my arcemu serwer make some modifications, like i wanted to have 4 epic red eye gem wow just crash unexpecter error, condition that cannot be.... blabla

So when i need to make this patch or most likely, what mods requires both, serwer and client mod -patch, and only one mod by client or serwer.
if i wana add new profession, where i need to change it, or add a comand to channel, vip comand??

Well don't be discouraged as someone once told me "To have a good foundation for a project you must have big Ideas." Quote from a nice person here on the forums.

But you may want to think of modding something a little easier until you got the hang of modding.
For instance you could try and make a texture change or a new model and put it in the game.
But what you are trying to achieve is most likely in the dbc files... to answer your question.

Again do not be discouraged when I made my first model for wow, I couldn't even get it in game it took me over a year to get it working, because I made it in the wrong format to begin with...
and its still not properly working.

But just keep going you will get very knowledgeable in modding if you just stick with it.
