Quick note: Before you start, vehicles should work properly before attempting this. Im using trinity and im guessing it should be compatible with mangos since they're alike.

1. Open up your database and go to id 30004. And DELETE it. (You could also change its entryid if you want to save it, tough i dont know why you would.

2. Search for "Hover disk" in your database, select the one that has difficulty_entry_1 = 31749 and is named only Hover Disk.

3. Change its entryid to 30004 so the spell you're making spawns this instead. Also delete the difficulty_entry_1 field.

4. Now we will change the displayid of the mount, have in mind that we will need to change the VehicleID field depending on what model you use.
In this case the id is set to default to a standing type (224) so if you would want yourself standing on a model this is what you would use. Example of me using VehicleID 224 to stand on a bat (modelid: 26751)
But if we wanted to sit on our mounts we would have to change the VehicleId to 156 (Wich is a sitting type) Heres a screenshot of me using the same model but using 156 in the VehicleId field:


5. Changing mount type, for this we go to the field called: InhabitType

This is what controlls what type of mount this is.
Ground: 1
Water: 2
Flying: 4

You can actually mix these values to make a land and a flying mount by simply taking the value of the ground and flying: 1+4 =


6. Final Part is to set the speed of the mount wich is at the speed_walk and speed_run fields.
The speed in the air for flying mounts are changed by modifying the speed_walk, and ground speed are in speed_run. I usually have these values below 10 unless you want a super fast mount. Example for a mount using InhabitType 5

Now go in-game and learn yourself this spelll: 55707 (This is the mount spell wich you press to ride your mount)

I followed everything and it doesnt fly. Anytime I push spacebar it just jumps.

Im very new at this. This is my first map. Im going for a stormpeaks type look. Ignore the ground thats not my concern.

Its a tool in Steffs stuff. Basically you say the column number and the row number for start and the last column number and last row number in the wdt (of your checked squares) and put that for finish and then it creates those ADTs

So adt adder didnt make all the files?

If i run ADT adder will that fix the problem? and make sure all the dots are there? Or will i have to start from scratch?

Okay so i figured out the problem! With your help!

When i do ADT ADDER i do it wrong. I was doing the Down > Over instead of Over > Down. ADTS fixed. Have to remap. Luckily wasnt that far along!

Sorry didnt mean to be upset, but Ill try this again later. I just started mapping and the map is crashing everytime I load the map. U can see it in level design. Even a video attached... Its so frustrating. Not one thing will go my way :(

Noggit / [QUESTION] Noggit

So i got some questions guys.  When I port to the map I made its all flat. But when i open it in noggit i can see all my mountains and change of textures.

When I edit the map in noggit is that just editting the WDT file? Like the one in my patch/world/maps/Valia folder. If i make changes do I have to repatch it? to see the effects in the game. And if so is that why my game keeps crashing when i shift adts like from 8_8 to 11_8?

So heres exactly what im doing. I edited all the files i needed to following the guide, and then I painted and did minor landscaping in noggit to test it out in game. I save the file. push g. Close noggit. Take my work fille from Patch/world/maps/valia and place the valia folder in my patch-a.MPQ under World/Maps/Valia

When i port to it the game crashes giving me a wow error saying game crashed on valia adt 11_8 or #_# and well yeah thats where im at.

i Never said you were doing anything wrong. I was stating multiple times i couldnt figure it out. So being someone who is more expierenced in this you should help the community out but either 1. making a tutorial 2. Showing people how to do it in their problem thread. Clearly I wasnt figuring it out.
