Deadwind Keep
« on: June 21, 2010, 01:08:00 am »
Well, I wanted to show you some screenshots of my best WoW Modding Project Deadwind Keep on which I've been working for several years now. It's composed of several m2-files (that's why someone from mmowned called this technique "Lego" :D) .

Wow as i am a fan of your woldbuilds i totally agree with you that this is your best one.
The love you've put into the detail of the building and the awsome evenvironmental placement you've chosen still amazes me. :uok:

I don't like the textures of the 2 towers on the second screenshot....
In my opinion they just don't fit to the rest of the keep.

But that's really just a matter of taste.

All in all i thiink you've done a really good job.
I hope you'll continue doing such great stuff!.  :uok:

This is by far the best appliance of the "lego technique" I've seen by far, and it looks real grea. You've spent quite some time working on that one?

Anyways someday I'm going to lock you and Eluo into the basement and force you to learn modelling. You two guys got such great ideas it's a total waste not having you two build some real stuff that doesn't have problems with loading, flickering below surface, fucked up collision due to overscaling and the seams of small models being pushed together  :uparanoid:

I'm following this project for some time now and it's amazing how rich in detail it has become. While a lot of World Builds look like big platforms with buildings on them, this one keeps a natural look without wasting space while not looking densely packed.

tl;dr the amount of detail is superb, the whole thing feels natural.

I like the interior most.
