Camera change
« on: December 20, 2010, 03:05:59 pm »
Hey guys,
I've got a simple question. Is it possible to change the charackter camera position and give it a static position? If it is, how do i do this?

For what do you want this :)
For playing machinimal...
In witch worldbuilding issus this whould help you.

To do many nice things with camera you can use the machinimal tool by malu05.

http://www.madx.dk/

It can controle the camera from outside of WoW direct ingame.
To get started.

Thx for your answer :) . No, its not fpr machinema....It's just to have a fixed ingame view of your charackter, that can't be changed....

Without modification of the client: Not, that I know of. I was interested in this once too and did not find anything.

More than 1 1/2 years ago... and I cant understand the idea behind it. U want to creat a fiew like this one maybe?

(Picture just taken by google <.<)

To have the character not on the mid of the screen? Or what do u want to creat... an first person view with hands?

Someone did post in the shoutbox here about how they successfully changed the permanent camera position of the character by editing the character M2 file.

They even shared the edited file, but I no longer have it.

Wasn't there special camera information in the m2 for cinematic models? That might be a point to start. I'm not sure about this though... Trying to add those to the playermodels and see if they let you still follow the character on movement.

Zim4ik did this by moving all bones to one side. That will fuck up collision and visuals though.
