Feedback:
When opening noggit, I had a missing MSVCP110.dll. I downloaded the visual studio runtime that was linked on the manual (wiki/index.php5?title=Noggit_user_manual) but it wouldn't install because I already had a newer version.
From what I know, it is better to install the whole visual studio than to just replace the single dll so I didn't do that. The internet says that this dll is in fact in the 2012 visual studio, not 2010 (though it says 2010 on the guide*).
So I downloaded visualC++2012. But I already had it. Then I realized that I needed the x84 32bit version. After I downloaded that, everything worked perfectly.
Suggestions:
1. Let it be known on the manual that the latest visualC++ is needed, and that it must be the x86 (32-bit) version. If a link is provided, maybe warn that it may not be the latest version anymore.
2. This is a minor one. On the noggit.conf, it reads
#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
Path = E:WoW 3.3.5
I was a bit unsure at first whether I was supposed to edit it to my WoWFile (E:WoW 3.3.5WoW.exe) or the WoW folder path (E:WoW 3.3.5) because the comment says the file but the path example is the folder. I did the folder and it worked fine, but I would recommend changing it to
#Edit this to your WoW Folder Path!! With also at the end, and NEVER /
Path = E:WoW 3.3.5
These suggestions might decrease the number of new players asking for help & make more people join the community cause the setup is easier.
