[SOLVED] Unable to Import WMOs
« on: January 12, 2013, 10:27:09 pm »
Once again a problem that I have started encountering out of nowhere, with nothing different having been done.

I have been editing a few ADTs with much joy for the past couple of days, having saved them numerous times and such...

Then all of a sudden it no longer allows me to import WMOs from the import.txt file, whereas still letting me spawn the M2 objects.

So once that started happening I searched through the forums and realised that all you need to do is to copy/paste a WMO and then select a chunk and then try to import a new one.

That worked for a while as well, yet earlier today even that ceased being a solution to the issue.

I have 'reinstalled' Noggit, removed all my edits from the project folder, restored everything to default. I have changed the permissions of my WoW folder too so that I no longer need to run Noggit as administrator; so the issue is caused neither one of those.

I am still able to spawn M2s, copy/paste WMOs and everything else. I simply cannot import WMOs anymore; would appreciate assistance.

Keep in mind that I've actually removed those extra patches and tried again, still does not work.

If no one holds the information to resolve this issue; then could anyone provide me with an alternative regarding WMO insertion?

From what I get Taliis is no longer as stable as it used to be when used in conjunction with Noggit.

Its probably because u got empty lines between wmo entry, for example:

ur import.txt porbably looks that:
worldwmo......
worldwmo......

worldwmo......
worldwmo......

delete empty lines between text blocks to:
worldwmo......
worldwmo......
worldwmo......
worldwmo......

also delete all empty lines at end of text, it helps in my case.

That irked me in the first place so I've left no lines or spaces empty.

So I am afraid that is not the case.

And it was working before, it just suddenly stopped working all of a sudden without a reason.

It seams to be a mouse problem. Some "modern" most gamer mouse screw up the keyboard input things. Try if you can move the model with the middel mouse button without problems. It this dont work you can have same problem. We change the mouse settings in some cases for middel mouse in the mouse driver app and then it works.

Also explain exactly what you do to import the WMOs!
I meen inside of noggit.

Middle mouse button works as usual, as it always has been.

And just like before when it used to work, I simply select a WMO, copy/paste it, delete the pasted one, then bring up the import.txt list and click on a WMO there after having selected a chunk with the stationary triangle cursor.

Also I can import M2s just fine from the same list, so I sincerely doubt that it is an issue related to the mouse.

How would that help resolve my problem though? Chances are that I will download it for no reason at all.

Because everything was working just fine and this simply came out of nowhere; a random occurrence.

Did it; the issue persists.

Any clue what causes it now?

Its a bit error, only do an action with an wmo, such as copy/paste it and later you'll be able to import wmo's
