Hello.

I still working in the model of wod for wotlk, so... this is my problem this time

The broken jaw of Scourge WOD model did not appear at all. It just looks a void .

Why is this happening?

I tried verifying such as submeshes the old model and compare it with the new , finding the new model has 3 types of facials, and old just 1 which consists of jaw





So here I find another problem.
Use Blender to open the m2 of the old model , and this has many added jaws 101 , 102 , 103, 104 , 105, 106 ... 202 , 203, 204 , 205, 206. ( ALL LOOK THE SAME )

and ... WOD model has not only added jaw, but the facial features as the black tape , pieces of bone leaning over the face, etc. These appear in WMV as Facial3 . Submeshes are Blender :

202, 302 , 303 , 303 001 and 304

In the case of the jaws , I find the surprise is a smaller number than the old model , finding myself alone:

101 102 103 , 202 001 , 203, 204


I wonder if there is a way for those " Faciales3 " look in Wotlk . Maybe changing some DBC , I'm not sure . The only thing which I know is that the old model lacks these , and therefore ( Maybe ) by applying the WOD not seen.



With respect to the jaws , is also a mess . If anyone knows where it comes texture or fix it, hopefully advise me around here.

The undead male have 114 990 triangles, this is the highest wod model.

Wotlk and Cataclysm have a limit of 65 535 triangles, i'm too lazy for explaining exactly what the problem is, but the limit is fixed a 65 535 triangles.

So if you want to import the scourgemodel on cata/wotlk, you have to remove 50 000 triangles
This is a lot of things to remove.

That's why there is lot of missings things on this model, m2mod and blender can't open a wod model if you don't set all "brokens" geoset to 0 (nTriangles and StartTriangles)

After doing this, you can open blender model, but when you export the m2i to m2, the submeshes of the brokens geosets are removed from your model.


When you export m2i to m2, the submeshes aren't the same as the original, After conversion, submeshes are now ordered by Submeshes ID ( 0 > 1 > 10 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 405 > 5 > .... > 9 > 902 > 903)

The lasts geoset can be broken because StartTriangles reached 65535

For example, 3 Geosets :
Geoset 1 :
StartTriangles : 0
nTriangles : 65000

Geoset2 :
StartTriangles : 65000
nTriangles : 5000

Geoset3 :
StartTriangles : 5000
nTriangles : 100

As you can see, the Geoset3 is broken, StartTriangles should be 70 000, but StartTriangles is a smallint unsigned (uint16) , so the max value is FF FF in hexa, 65 535 in decimal.

StartTriangles is the reason, why we have a lot of geoset broken on cata/wotlk.

When you reconvert, the last submeshes (around ID 6 - 9) are broken too.




Conclusion : It's impossible to have a clean undeadmodel on wotlk.

Dwarves have a lot of brokens geoset too, Beards i think

Honestly, i don't understand why there is some release with dwarfs and undead models, they are broken as fuck.

Me neither. But what originally asked is that the model that you see in my WMV is already converted for Wotlk .
He lost several types of hairstyles because of this .
I do not know how to do , is to see the Facial3 . Because it comes in the model. In fact if I change the submeshes 0 *** hairstyle appears in the game, but without textures.
It is quite strange.
