Man you've got crazy amount of Patience man!!!  I'd have left on his third reply.  There are lots people that download my .rar files and then complain that the files are broken because they double click it and Windows throws them an error message :P  XDD, You sir I will raise my cup of beer to :)

Well, it was not just me being a noob here, Ladiks CascView DID NOT work for me. Dahaga even helped me via Skype and he could see it didn't work. But CascExplorer from Tom worked in an instant.

Thank you so much for all help! I'm so happy now that I can extract Casc-files! CascExplorer is great!
You should talk to Ladik so that he can develop his program, would be nice to use it one day.

 :D

Thanks, that was the best guide. I've done exactly as you show in that Picture, but still the Casc Viewer is empty. I have attached a printscreen here of the commands I use so you see what I have done.  :)

so why are you still here go on zezulas pages and download 64bit then use again Wod.cmd

I wanna thank you for all your help. But unfortunately this method doesnt work. Nothing happens when opening the program thorugh Wod.cmd and using Open Storage. Could be that CascView needs to be updated or something, it is still a very early version of the program. One could only hope that in the end it will be as easy to use as the MPQ-Editor.

so open in Edit mode nad rewrite it ?  Sherlock ?

I did so now. And i click Wod.cmd, Cascview opens then as it should but when trying to open the datafolder with the program nothing happens. It could be that Warlords Beta is 64 Bit and Cascview is 32 Bit.

K i got it ....

Here is CascViever for 32bits

1. ExtractFiels Somwhere
2. Edit Path to your WOD WoW in " WOD.cmd "
3. Start " WOD.cmd "
4. it will ask you for List file so enter " World of Warcraft ListFile6x.txt "
5. Make a Burger and Profit

Thanx for help, but I dont really understand.

1. What files shall I extract?

2. What do you mean with "Edit Path to your WOD WoW in " WOD.cmd ". How do I do that?

3. How do i startt WOD.cmd. Which program shall I use to start it?

As you see, I'm not very used to this, would be nice with an easy explanation. Thanx again. =)

I need help extracting gamefiles from the WoD-Beta. Ladik, who made the MPQ-Editor recently made CascView, a program to extract files from Blizzards new Casc-system. The problem is, I don't know how to use it. I downloaded the program, but when I try to open the WoD Data-folder using the "Open Storage" button nothing happens. I read his description on the download page but I can't see what I am missing.

Maybe someone here can explain how to use it in an easy way, thanx.
