[SOLVED] Recomended Free Antiviruses?
« on: January 10, 2017, 05:15:45 am »
Hi, I need some guidance.

Long story short, i had Avast 4.8 Profesional for 3-4 years now and worked without any problems, sudenly yesterday, the bloody thing just upgraded itself, without my consent and installed Avast free antivirus. Avast is not answering my complaints on the issue and I tried to reinstall my former antivirus from scratch and the next time booted my pc, the other bloody program had been reinstalled again!

So, does some of you know wich antivirus is, good, un-invasive and free (cause im done with paying for shit that will betrayme anyway)?

Thank you, and by the way happy new year 2017, may this year fuck us all less than 2016.

In most cases, you get viruses by your own mistake. For the rest of the things, Windows Defender is enough.

You can try also any kaspersky product for 30 days full suctioning even if its under trial. Tho bare in mind after the trial version expires you cant install again the same product. I used AV for 30 days and was satisfied about how it was running in general, like process, mem etc.

When there is a risk, the risk is that you dont check on the files or feel confident about the source when it's not.

I feel windows defender doesnt act enough on it's own. Its not checking files behind the scenes enough etc.
Usually it is the 3rd party virus scanners that act and act fast on detecting stuff from my experience.
But I have seen windows defender do that as well so guess it depends.

I wanted to thank you all for your comments and finally i settled for the only option  that seemed avalible for me -3- / and it works fine, though it consumes a fair share of my memory.
