You can still create ADTs properly and edit most other types of WoW-related files, but it is adviceable to avoid editing adts with Taliis at all costs. There are several similar tools that work that way already.

I use it to create new ADTs (made one template that i now copy) and to recreate the WDT file if I add or delete some ADTs.

Please tell me.Is it possible to import PNG maps in taliis or this function does not work.?Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Would love to see a tutorial on creating alfamap and export them in noggit.

@Partyzan there are already tutorials on importing and exporting alpha maps in Noggit, like Steff's guide in the section Getting started: The Tutorial, but I don't use Taliis for this, I use Futa like the tutorial, its very easy and very handy.
