This doesn't fall under "Development and Presentation" this is just pure advertising for a funserver which really doesn't have much to do with modding at all. Quite frankly I don't think this type of content should be here, if you look at most other submissions on this board there's a much higher standard, both in terms of what people associate with "modding" and the actual effort that goes into presenting their projects, well at least they don't tend to make it into a pure advertisement. This is a maker community.

Although I could agree, this thread is totally fine.

UP!

I would consider not using "up".

Well met :)

I see. I would suggest that you begin learning then. You can always start with Steff's Noggit Tutorial series http://modcraft.io/viewforum.php?f=78 and get familiar with world building. Modding involves many different aspects.

I suggest that you begin working on the project yourself and then others might be interested in perhaps joining it and contributing further to it, after seeing that work has been put into it already!

If you have questions about stuff just ask and someone will point you in the right direction. Good luck!

I had already mentioned this before in other situations here:

1.- Quit giving opinions that are not constructive. If it's not constructive feedback, I promise you no one cares for what you have to say. Some people here -as I've seen- think their bad opinions matter. Why?

2.- Quit acting like kids. Kids need to learn manners and lessons, kids need warnings. Should we begin treating you like kids? I think not.

3.- Again, this is Showoff. Feel free to show whatever it is you are working on. You can try to keep it related to WoW but it's not absolutely necessary.

If you have problems, feel free to send me a private message and we can talk about them.

Somewhat of an ambitious project. Have you any knowledge yourself on modding yet?

Thats why I always use NPC called Teleporter with gossip menu-bound scripts.

Yea, although in this case, I think they decided to use that method there because (spoiler) across the world and sometimes hidden for the player to discover, there are these small ritual circles all over the place that you can use to access areas. Sometimes there are ladders players can climb (click ritual circles) and they are teleported upstairs, inside a building or prison, etc. All these places otherwise inaccessible are now available for players!

Neat idea similar to other video games I have played before in the past.

how do i get out of the first zone =) =)???

Actually that puzzled me for quite a while as well. Outside and to the left of the medium sized building where you train your class spells, there are two banners; One is red and the other is green. Below them, on the ground, are purple colored ritual circles that you can click. They will port you to the live world.

Tried out the server earlier today. It's pretty decent I liked the general concept and the work behind the maps and areas. I think it has potential. Huge thanks to Harald for showing me around from the Arathor Team.

Noggit / Re: Problem with Texture (Black Bands in game)
« on: September 10, 2015, 01:46:55 am »
Those chunk border lines appear sometimes. It's a Noggit issue. You have to play around with the terrain (elevate, lower, smooth) just edit the terrain because those lines appear when the map is completely flat.

...better than piece of crap - thats something I will never support. And just btw, I am terrible artist myself, but my terrain looks at least OK enough. Because I wasn't fucking lazy and learned how to do it, in a simple and enough good-looking way. - Relax, some people take offence to cussing especially non-native english speakers

Is there anyone who will disagree with statement, that auto-tune using is killing artistic aspects of music - and what music should be about? Well, you should also agree with fact that no generator should be ever used instead of painting by hand. Generator is robot. Robots don't have emotions. Art is about "explaining" emotions. Robots can't be artists. Thats my opinion on this matter.

You went off-topic just to get your opinion across? Before you answer that I just want to remind you that this is Showoff, not "I'm going to please as many people as I can with the things I want to share with them".

Thank you for having an opinion I suppose. Preferably, keep it nice.

Being nice doesn't mean you have to lie or be dishonest. Thanks again.

If you think you're being a big man for having strong opinions, guess again.

We're adults here that's why we speak civilized. Other people would simply throw and accumulate warnings to profiles.

Noggit / Re: Have a few questions.
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:14:11 pm »
Your Noggit and your ModelViewer have to use seperate copies of the WoW client, each pointing towards a client respectively.

Noggit will read the log.txt file that registers the last object you open inside ModelViewer. So all you have to do is make sure Noggit can read that text file. Once in Noggit, you do SHIFT V (I think) and the object is spawned. You only do that once and if you need more copies of that same object all you have to do is use CTRL V

So make sure your paths are setup correctly. Open your config files and look for mistakes with the paths such as # or typos

As for the textures, simply select a .blptexture (from the current ADT)  with the painting tool and use shift plus mouse to paint. You should be able to paint every chunk on the ADT where the texture is available. If you are switching textures then keep in mind every ADT must have 4 textures at all times.

Ehhh.... I think it's good to rip peoples work apart at-least somewhat. It'll give them idea on what to improve instead of letting them blindly continue on with work that could be much better than it currently is.
Yes. That would be considered a properly executed critique. On many levels, appropriate. I think that when talking about other people or what they're doing "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all" applies.

That's a pretty clear "What not to do" for people that got their life/people skills from a garbage can.

Critiques = Much appreciated when properly done.
Opinions = Couldn't care less when no one asks for one.

Sad thing is, opinions tend to be negative. Oh well.

Just creating next character of my ... just like Rime Etere , Rhazana Mortess Gamaron ....
this one is
Alythess Strix'Efuartus

honestly im getting tired of everything i dont have much to do so im just strugling and doing every single crap think that gets on my mind ( like extracting music from SWF app by Washa [ wow hentai artist] )
Your work is pretty good! I like how your characters are dark gothic-ish, they show alot of the artist's personality  ;)

My only rule about wow modding communities is to tell exactly what I think. I won't say some general stuff like "Great job, man. Keep up the good work!!!" if I don't like or don't understand the point of the shown work. This is entirely honest. And people can perceive that the way they want.  Is it actually better to be surrounded with lies and feel like you are doing a good job when you actually don't. Please, no.
That's fine. I'm pretty sure alot of people would appreciate your type of opinions then, my friend.

A phrase comes into mind "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Let me just remind you that this is a Showoff thread, not a "Here's what I think is wrong about your Showoff". Though I suppose you are self-entitled to critique people's work, the reality is that -put simple- no one cares when it's not properly executed. I am sorry to say this but I think you are embarassing modcraft, can you imagine people starting out reading your comments? Do you think they would ever want to share their work with us? I think not because they would fear your professional opinion attacking their work for every little detail. That's not constructive criticism or feedback. That's just you being a negative lame nerd. At this rate there will be no new fresh artists and modders. Someone who 'knows what they are doing' should enourage others, not otherwise.

Taking this way too pesonal. Take a chill pill.

To Morfium, don't worry. You don't have to "defend" your points of view since, well, this is not an acceptance thread. You continue working at -what I personally think- is a great tool and share it if you want to. Thank you. I share your thoughts as I too am working on my project by myself and barely have enough time. Plus, the shaping and texturing is the least of my concerns atm.
