Noggit / Unity3D as alternative to Noggit
« on: January 30, 2018, 11:28:19 am »
Hi guys, i'm not so skilled in client modding so i would ask you a trivial question:

Is it possible to convert Unity3D navmesh maps to maps compatible with server format? (recastnavigation)

Would be nice to allow open source projects such as FreecraftCore (https://github.com/FreecraftCore) to work on open source servers without be forced to use assets from wow client.

This can be a new era for such kind of projects!

Hi!

Few weeks ago has been created a project: http://www.wowgaming.org
It's a WoW resource pool (Db search, wiki, addons etc) subdivided by expansion that currently support wotlk 3.3.5a
All information inside are stored  with original data from that specific game version.

It's totally Free and Open Source alternative to (dead?) OpenWoW site!

Please read this page to understand why and how we can do it.

This project can be helpful for:

- Wiki and Database search engine for educational Open Source application server projects, such as AzerothCore/TrinityCore/Mangos etc.

- Keeping an historical archive of World of Warcraft original data

- Discussing and Blogging about newest and oldest WoW Facts

wotlk portal (index of all subsite below): http://www.wowgaming.org/wotlk.html

database: https://wowgaming.altervista.org/aowow/

addon list: http://www.wowgaming.org/addons-335a-collection/

wiki: https://wowgaming.altervista.org/wp/wotlk-home/

Serverside Modding / [WotLk] [DBC] DBC mod Versioning
« on: May 01, 2016, 04:52:04 pm »
hi guys, could someone say me if there is any common/suggested way to work in team on dbc editing versioning changes? such as for db

Would be nice to have the possibility to keep trace of what we change in dbc ( via git ) and create an update system similar to sql.

Maybe it could be achieved using a dbc <-> csv converter? ( is there any tool for dbc <-> sql ? )
