During development you also have to think about existing stuff and perhaps clean it up. Simple because it is no longer needed or the reason it exists is no more. In the cursor section we have 2 of this cases.

1. Delete the not visible and she vertices styled cursor.
- The non visible never hand any seance to me :)
- The yellow vertices is the original first cursor at the time we had non other. It was long useful to past models from text file in combination with the turned of auto selection mode. Now past from text file copy the model to clipboard so the cursor makes not relay scene anymore.

2. Delete auto selection mode switch
- In the old days the selection did not auto follow the cursor. We changed this during development but the user was able to switch the old mode on again. After changing the past from text file behavior this mode has no relay scene and I want delete it.

So any good reasons against this tasks?

Sometimes I find it hard to understand your english but from what I understood you want the yellow cursor which is usually used to spawn objects to always auto-follow the cursor(mouse).I for myself most of the time do not let it auto-follow my cursor, I don't know I just find it easier and more comfortable to spawn especially larger objects without auto-follow mode, also if we would have the undo-redo button than things would be easier. I also agree that the non-visible cursor is pointless and since is never used it would be best to remove it.
[EDIT]
Now I understand that you want to also delete the yellow button, I've seen in the current versions of Noggit that usually when objects are spawned their spawn position follows the position of the yellow cursor, if this changes I do not see any reason why the yellow cursor shouldn't be removed

Personaly, I have never used auto selection mode switch. It took me some time to even figure out what the fluff is it supposed to be for, and when I have finally found out, I was like "OK, meh, I don't need that, and won't use that anyway".

I have never used invisible (no) cursor. I have experimented with using yellow triangle, but just because I wanted to try it, yet again, nothing I had ever really used at all.

What I would really, really love to see is cursor which is actually ON terrain, which is following its shape. Cursor, which shows which verticles (and edges) by for example showing/highlighting wireframe there very softly are to be affected by brush. We would be able to see "OK, right now when I click, I will touch that one vert of terrain I don't want to touch, I need to move my cursor slightly to left". It would be even more useful for 3D paint.

Hi, just wanted to say i completely agree with the previous comments. Athough i supose the yellow triangle does kind of show the grid between three verticles of terain, the idea of having a (F[]-key) mapmode for terain vert grid would be nice. that way you can just use the regular brush to edit the terain with more preciseness, instead of having to focus really hard to get hit that one verticle you want to raise/lower.

I suppose you are not up to date with Noggit. There is already a way of making wireframe visible, making it easy to hit just 1 verticle and so on. Thats not what I speak about though.

Triangle cursor and non-auto-select have a use case: being able to edit specific vertices exactly.

Sadly, thats something (along with more things) noone has really made clear and commonly known through community of actual users. I have personaly never thought about using triangle cursor in that way, and I have been using Noggit for nearly 6 years now. Making clear to users what is tool supposed to work like and which feature is supposed to be used for what purpouse is arguably as much important as creating that tool. I'll try to help with this as much as I can when Qt version is released.

Auto selection off is simple the way noggit did it in the past and I dont need the triangle cursor to exactly edit stuff....
Also there is vertics edit mode now, where you can even select vertics and move and angel them specificly so even this usecase is no longer a point. In my opinion to much features are not always good. Sometime less is more. Special if you are new to an Application and start to learn it.

Neither do I, but I have never thought about that possibility. And some users, especially beginners, would probably find single verticle editing easier with this little trick, I just wonder how many of them were aware of it. Because if you have no idea how ADT's terrain's wireframe looks, that triangle can be damn useful. If you know it instinctively like we both do, well, you don't need triangle cursor anymore.

I relay don´t care the most time about the triangles. I just edit the ground ;)
And I think that is what the most people do at start. Just pick the tools and try around.
As a conclusion we should just keep the triangle mode but add the selection mode switch from menu to the options tab of the ground tool. Then people see it and perhaps try what it do.

I will make a video series if qt is ready but most people just try around and don´t watch or even read stuff.

I think that most of people come, download software, try it, stumble upon some problems and then start creating QQhelpmepls topics. No offence meant to them :D. Sometimes because they are lazy to watch/read tutorials, but very often because they don't really know that tutorials exist and where to (easily) find them. When you just throw link at tutorial about that thing on their head, they take a look at it. So I think that problem is knowledge about the very existence of tutorials, and possibility to easily find them and find what one is looking for in them.

Yes. We just thought here to put a glowing pointing hand gif beside the 2 tutorial boards to make them MORE visible. People just don´t see them.. for what reasons ......

I think I will add a top menu and a side menu button named tutorials link to a new post where all stuff is linked. Perhaps this helps :)

So finally I can edit terrain in noggit and not in blender. Yay!

With this tool you can select (and deselect) a group of vertics, move them up and down and tiled the surface in all directions.
