Importing models from Model Viewer
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:00:13 pm »
I have browsed through the forums and googled all over the place but have yet to find a solution to my problem. I'm unable to add models from the Model Viewer log. Whenever I try to, Noggit crashes.

- My Model Viewer doesnt use the same WoW directory as Noggit.
- I use the, in the FAQ, recommended version of Model Viewer.
- I use WoW 3.3.5a.

- My noggit.conf file is set to these settings:

#This is a config file template. To use it rename into noggit.conf and set your options
#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
Path = C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft

#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
ProjectPath = F:project01

#Set this to the file where you will import models from (the model viewer log for example :) )
ImportFile  = C:Program FilesWoWModelViewer7userSettingslog.txt

#The far clipping value. Set to 2048, 3072, 4096 etc. for a further look. Higher values need more 3d power.
#1024 is the standard value and will be taken if you do not set this value.
FarZ=2048

Thank you for your help!

(Cant seem to post the log file, nor a link to it, due to a filter for my account)

Really, read, before telling people what to do.

Just as I wrote - I use the, in the FAQ, recommended version of Model Viewer. :)

I really wish for you to be able to see the entire log file, but the last, error part, looks like this:

11156 - (Video.cpp:279): [Error] OpenGL: (at Liquid::draw:: after the draw list): GL_INVALID_ENUM
39797 - (errorHandling.h:64): [Error] There was an exception of type "SIGABRT"
"Abnormal termination, such as instigated by the abort function. (Abort.)".
Please excuse the inconvenience. You may want to report this error including the log to the developers.

I'm not able to interprate this, but hopefully someone around here is?

I figured I'd try to manually import objects instead, using the text file. This is what I've written in the Import.txt:

0   WorldDreamingpassivedoodadsdreamcatchersemeralddreamcatcher04.m2
1   WorldAzerothbootybaypassivedoodaddeadfishfishdeadblue.m2

After having selected a chunk, and pressed shift+F4, In noggit>assist>from text file, I'm able to view the objects in a list. It says "select an object", but nothing happens when I do. How do I go about this?

Okay so I fixed this problem, by removing the digits before the objects (read somewhere they had to be sorted like that). But I'm still having issues with the Model Viewer import option. It'd be such a blessing to get it working!
