What's the project?

[paragraph:3f060jaa]A 'big' team and I are creating a roleplay server, yes yes, there are many in development and few fail to get far. Our idea isn't visionary, nor is it going to break the boundaries of private server roleplay. However. We are driven to create some great stories and a thriving community through hard work and diligence.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]We were veterans of an older private server of which we take our experiences onboard. For some of us, this kind of project is new, for others it's nothing new. We've got a coder, we've got staff, and we've got incompetent builders (of which I am one of them).[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]...That's where you, folks, come in.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]

What does the world builder need to do?


[paragraph:3f060jaa]The nature and story of the server is as follows, in its basic form:[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]A new continent is discovered. The Horde and the Alliance settle in one region, establishing two major towns. These will be your standard roleplaying hubs and a center for main storylines and scenarios. The players can eventually save up currency to buy buildings, or guilds can establish camps and other towns.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]In terms of the technical world building. We're looking to build a continent that will, over time, grow:[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]But at this stage all we're really after are two regions, relatively 'blank.' By blank, I mean plenty of room for players to develop their own places via ingame building.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]

What we need from the region?


[paragraph:3f060jaa]An idyllic and attractive region, surrounding by mountains - or partly coast, with plenty of empty ground for in-game building. We'd like some naturally looking environments though, with flora and fauna, not to mention tribal camps.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]Further information and a makeshift map concerning the first region will be issued to the world builder who joins our team.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]

Is it a permanent role?


[paragraph:3f060jaa]Yep, if you want it! We'll be hoping to open up new regions of this 'continent' and we'll need you in order to do that. This isn't a paid role, I must stress.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]

In terms of world-building, what's been done so far?


[paragraph:3f060jaa]Another member of staff on the project, and I, have only recently started using noggit. At first we tried to edit Azuremyst, but that turned problematic, then we tried to build a new zone from scratch, problematic.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]So then we had the idea of editing pre-existing zones and editing them slightly: such as Mulgore and Desolace.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]
[paragraph:3f060jaa]But really? We'd like a competent and skilled world-builder to assist us in creating an entirely new map, or editing a pre-existing one.[/paragraph:3f060jaa]

Yes, it's always better to share informations about the project it self (progress for example) so anyone can have a look at it and if it fits his interests he/she might join^^

I'm Alex , my holiday starts soon so I'll have lots of free time.
About the growing continent...let say they discover it in the process maybe?

Currently studying Game Design at Copenhagen University. I also have a big project going on, sadly I have no portfolio of it (yet).
