Resources and Tools / Port Seregor - Customized Map from Blizzard's
« on: December 12, 2016, 04:57:39 pm »
I somehow wanted to make this right long time ago, a way of "legalize" my efforts despite of no one would care when they have the access to the map like we all do with the blizzard's ones. So guys, this is a customization of and Island located at Northend, Howling Fjord (I took the terrain and made magic with noggit) that I created myself for a roleplay server with a full original lore. Backthere (yeah it happened one or two years ago already) it was called Port Seregor, a harbor of pirates landed on a cloudly, freezing and terrorific region named Deep Waters, and it begins with of course and epic story of pirates kings looking for a bigger purpose after fightning weeks against each other. But you really don't care about it, and by saying this I submit my creation to every of your intentions, projects, etc.

I would lovely like to continue the project (actually I'm still mapping) but it's being difficult since I'm at collegue, therefore, I will not be able to complete the very entire region of Deep Waters.

Here I leave you a few pictures of how does it looks in game. I believe my self there are at least two or three little bug boxes due to previous m2 process exchanges from custom models to the original ones in the WoW 3.3.5a version.

Some details of the mapping:

1- You would notice of some imperfections on it, the majority are part of the beauty of a pirate harbor.

2- The only areas that are left to be customized are underneath the island, the underwater, because...I was really lazy to do it.

3- You would -again- notice a change between the pictures and how does it looks for you inside the game. That's because and outside patch which affects every light in WoW.

If you can't open it some how, let me know, here is the link: https://mega.nz/#!rBg0XQAA!qwGxHnnyQe06 ... aNBX2YEzzs

Note: The patch came with a map.dbc and a mapdifficulty.dbc only for make it work for anybody that hasn't filled the indicated mapid yet, but come on, you are better on this than I am, just modify it.

Being this the very words that I wanted to tell, It's time to say goodbye and... If someone ask, please, It was customized by Drendor from Venezuela, not Drendor from Taiwan (Yeah, my nickname it's suppose to be unique, but somehow there are others Drendors everywhere)

Have some fun roleplaying  :)

Noggit / Re: Noggit Crashes Wow (in-game)

Ok I will upload them, but it's not a great deal. Like I said before, I'm not doing anything weird, I'm just opening a map with noggit, putting some high to a ground and saving it (Or putting a m2 and saving it).

Thanks Skarn! That's the explanation I wanted :D, that is exactly what happens to me. I'm gonna do it

What did I just tell you? THAT IS NOT A SOLUTION, I've already prove it. It doesn't make sense that for every single modification with noggit (any version) , even if I do not touch the TEXTURES and GROUND, the wow crashes because of that modification. I tried it, I put 4 textures in every chunk of the adt I modified with any tool.

Noggit / Noggit Crashes Wow (in-game)
« on: April 19, 2015, 12:02:39 am »
Basically, I just enter into a blizzard map through Noggit 1.2/1.3/1.4 (The version is not the problem or the solution), let's say Kalimdor, and add a M2, or .wmo or modify terrain, ground, etc. I save it, create the MPQ file and run it with the WoW Client. When I go to the place I modified, it instantly crashes my WoW client with this error:

  ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program:   C:WoWModdingClient335aTestElseworld of Warcraft.exe
Exception:   0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:007B31F8

The instruction at "0x007B31F8" referenced memory at "0x00000010".
The memory could not be "read".

I'm sure you know enough about this famous error, but the solution I found every time in the forum does NOT work for me. As you can read, with every tool I use in noggit, the blizzard map crashes in-game, even if I don't modify terrain or texture. I do not see any logic on what's happening to me. I'm also "new" in noggit, I'm sure I know more less than you guys, but I've already created a continent, and a full map with 8 ADT's and Noggit versión 1.3 never resulted on a problem to me. I recently read that version is corrupted as hell, so I changed it to 1.4, any improvement? no one. Help, please, that's all I ask for.

Noggit / Server Crashed. Custom continent
« on: December 15, 2014, 02:02:06 am »
I'll be brief. I created a new continent and I added the map.dbc into my server. So, when I wanted to test it ingame, it worked perfectly, except for the part when I invited someone to a group with the ingame command /invite while we are in the custom continent. The answer? The server crashed completely and I had to restart it.

Am I doing something wrong? What am I doing wrong? I followed all the noggit's basic guides at least 'till create a continent and I don't find the solution.

PD(Spanish): Si hay alguien que hable español y sepa del problema, por favor ayúdeme, me expresaré mejor en español que en inglés.

Noggit / [QUESTION] Noggit continent list
« on: December 13, 2014, 01:22:34 am »
I have a little problem here, my continent list has no more capacity for maps, so if I create a new custom map, I actually can't see it, because the list reaches the windows bar. Is there any solution for this? Another way to select your maps inside noggit? Please help :/
