[QUESTION] Saurok model variations.
« on: October 28, 2014, 04:12:28 pm »
Hello there. Lately I was with imported textures and models from Mists (thanks to Dahaga greatly!), specifically Sauroks (waterdragon). Everything is working perfectly except the vision I had.

To specify the problem: Inside Pandaria there are plenty of Sauroks, in means of skin colour to variations of armor. BUT! The imported model or model in WMV shows only fully armored version but varied in skin. To specify even more - Blizzard has them various (screenshots for example): (I would add them but you know, not enough posts yet)

This is my result with full armor without chance of variation (or maybe I don't know how):
(I would add them but you know, not enough posts yet)

My DBC edit did not change anything, it kept the armor. So my question is - Is there any way to vary these piece of armor indefinetely without changing model in 3D modeling soft. (like Blender)?
(I am working in 3.3.5a)

I will be gracious for any suggestion or solution.

because in folder waterdragon are only darksauroks and armored sauroks
in other folder "Primordialsaurok" are the base geer/red/blue sauroks

so once i will downlaod WOD again i can port them ..........

After researching all the models in WMV (with Pandaria downloaded) I didn't found Saurok model on which I can aply and vary any piece of armor. Only primordial - completely stripped Saurok and waterdragon - which is armored even in the kloaka I guess.

Is there a way to add those various pieces of armor respectively? There has to be a way if Blizzard has various combinations - from skirts only to combinations with boots, bracers or helmets to fully armored and even with the reptilic collar.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: As I said, I would add explenational screenshots but they are not yet in my capabilities - Try to wowhead skumblade or Sarnak, or warleader salyis to get to my points :).

With which model? Waterdragon? (If so It will probably remove all the armor and it won't show the single pieces I want it to show (which is the main problem here - selecting armor pieces to show or not to show on model of Saurok including the collar)
