Model Scale dont work.
« on: August 31, 2016, 12:51:13 am »
Hey,
i port some models to wotlk.
One of them is the GiantBoar.
I edit one version and one non edit.
And i cant scale both down.
i try in blender,no effeckt i try in the creaturmodel.dbc no effeck and in the creaturedisplayinfo.dbc and again no effeckt^^.
The only thing about the size is that the hunter version of the boar is bigger than the normal.. <,< so something has a effeckt on it.
Here you can see the big pig^^

He means world.creature_template.scale

Btw, if scale especially in CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc does nothing, something really weird is going on, because total scale of model follows fromula scale from DB * scale from DBC = total scale.

Yeah the model by default is really big, that means was made by blizz that big. Since i have already tried to use that in the past for my project didnt find any solution on how to bring it down to 100% of its size cause till now seems like been 200% of the normal size. Was thinking if there is a way to resize M2 model in blender tho since im running other things on the project i left it for later check and test. I would love to know to if there is a way to resize it but after resize im going to have animations problem ?

I have already made attempts to change the scale on the DBC file, but seems to not doing anything at all. Im not doing anything wrong since i convert the file with both tagsteam and kowards tools and nothing changed. The model tho if you import it on blender is indeed to big, as the original in WoD. Found a "similar" issue addressed by Vesageough with a helmet, if i change bones size might help ? thinking to work it through obj mod and then throw it back as m2. Not sure if im on correct path here !

If i scale the amature in edit mode than every mesh in edit mode too ,it scales it, BUT it fucks up the animation into dead space mode.Somtimes this delet skin informations that the textures switch too.
i dont understand it rly  :?
And no dbc editing dont help. :<

You want to edit the scale in CreatureModelData.dbc on column 3 put in 1 4 is the biggest it can be also I don't recommend scaling armature even more so in edit mode the model should always be scaled to the armature not the other way around if you want to scale the model then do what I said above also put the dbc core side.

Make sure to delete your cache folder, if for what ever reason editing the scale in that dbc doesn't work which it has no reason not to unless you do it wrong then you can use this to edit the size of the M2 http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=789

The value was 1 and have no effect(4 or 0 also do nothing), and the m2 modder do the same like me with the blender skale and kill all animations :< Dead Space mode the second + hanging in air.
