[SOLVED] Problem with wmo spawn
« on: May 13, 2012, 02:46:09 pm »
Hey Modcraft !

I've a problem with the new rev of noggit (rev1.1). When i try to import WMO in noggit with import.txt, the wmo are spawn, but they're invisible u_u. I can select them but i can't see them, it's a bit annoying for modding a city ^^"

Here my log :

Couldn't recreate the error, for me, it's visible.

Did you watch out for your model? (: sometimes they are under the ground or just... somewhere.

Well, i don't realy know 'cause when i click where i spawned the wmo, it is select but its invisible. I think i cant select them if they're under the ground. But look at te position in the screen. The "Z" position is strange :s

Try to turn off the autoselection and change the cursor to triangle, and then try to spawn it.
Maybe your selection gets jerked up somehow when you try to spawn it.

Seems to be a render problem. I have alos a tunnel in that i ant see from some angels. This happens only with some WMOS.

I had the same problem, worked around with it.

to make it work from the import option you simply spawn a m2

Then copy the m2

Then spawn a wmo ontop of the m2 you just copied

Now everytime  you copy a WMO, you have to move the copied version of the WMO, otherwise it disappears when you quit noggit.

Also if you add a wmo from the import option without spawning it while selecting a m2, then it will be invisible and crash the game client when you try to enter the world in-game.

I hope this helped :D

Currently studying Game Design at Copenhagen University. I also have a big project going on, sadly I have no portfolio of it (yet).

Interesting. I will test this out and see if it helps to find the bug.
Thanks :)

if guys are spawning WMO from either WOLK or TBC, u have to goto MAP.DBC toward last column, flag it "2" for WOLK. this will allow every model to work.
