Howdy, One of my projects as of late is importing Stormwind from cataclysm to Wrath of the lich king. I got the Adt's imported without a problem however after wiping all the textures from the Adt's so i can re-texture them and prevent crashing and such however when i go to drop a texture onto a blank Chunk it works fine until i test it in-game i receive a crash. I know its coming from placing a texture upon the Chunk because i can move around on the un-textured ADt's without a single crash however as soon as i place it then i get hit with a crash every time i login...
So my question is... Does anyone have any clue as to what may be going down?
This does not cause an error

And this is an example of what will result in an error when in-game

Maybe it works if you place 4 textures on adt, than extract alphamaps with Futa tool, paint a little bit with photoshop or gimp, than paste the alphamaps with FuTa tool.
Dont know if this realy helps, but maybe it fix the texture crash bug...

Ill give that a shot and let you know.
EDIT: Early tests seem to show that having four texture on all adt's does not result in said crash.

Did you also convert and move the cata textures over? White meens client dont find them.

In his case they're white because he wiped them.

This adts from alpha 11927 client don't crash because of textures. Mistakes in textures is alphamap problem and it can't cause crashes. ADT's bad here. Convert them from MOP but take the WMO from alpha.

Actually textures can cause crashes.
Try to set the WDT of Azeroth to use Big Alpha in 3.3.5 and watch the crashes.
The Cata ADTs use Big Alpha.
