Currently looking for a way to convert BC M2 files to Vanilla, as BC M2's do not translate into Vanilla easily.
Anyone know of a conversion tool?

Here you are ;) Originally posted by Soluhe.
Instructions :
1) Check with 010 editor if your version (at the beginning of the file) is really 04 01 00 and not 07 01 00 or something like that. If it is, just replace 07 by 04 (I'm not the one who made this tool otherwise I assure you it would make it itself).
2) Drag&Drop your file on the converter. A new file should have been created.
3) Done !
EDIT : And by the way it works in both ways, BC>Classic and Classic>BC.

Thanks bro. :D
Just need to do this for all those helmets now!
Gonna be a fun day tomorrow I'm sure!

Not really sure how to do this step using 010. My M2's are still broken after I converted them, so this must be the issue.

What the hell.
Looks like that converter changed "00 01 00 00" to "04 01 00 00" because I must've made a serious mistake somewhere.
that's why it wasn't working in game, re-doing the entire process.
[edit] seems to be working much better now, but I used the wrong m2's, forgot to use the blood elf ones.
[edit2]
Awesome, so now my Blood Elf Npc's are finished.
These guys used to be gnomes.
