Holy Moly Guacamole I am stoked to see this! Thank you so much @leeviathan!!
I have been reborn to want to "Play" (rather than code ElvUI backport all the time) TBC again now with this final piece of the missing puzzle. Thank you thank you!

PS: This is or isn't compatible with Bambay's mods?

Thank you so much for this Mod :) made my BC experience so much more enjoyable!
I seem to have FPS drops/ Stutters sometimes with this mod, cant figure out when it happens seems random but pretty often.
If i remove the mod all is fine (this is the only mod i'm using).

running 2.4.3 BC, Tauren Female character.

did anyone else report similar problems?

thank you again for your Mod <3 love it

oh and im getting like 120 FPS baseline in BC so i dont think/hope its not a hardware issue. i'm also running Legion fine on this PC

I seem to have FPS drops/ Stutters sometimes with this mod, cant figure out when it happens seems random but pretty often.

Thanks for the report, I'll have to investigate. I had similar issues myself, but figured it was because my computer is very old and stuttery anyway.

UPDATE: Something about the BC client itself seems to not jive with any patched-in character model (works fine with creature models). The stuttering thing even happens with the original low-poly character models ported down from WotLK or up from Classic, or even just switching M2s from the very same client; just renaming DraeneiFemale.m2 to BloodElfMale.m2 and placing it in the Character/BloodElf/Male/ directory causes the same hiccup to occur when the client loads BloodElfMale.m2. In fact, changing even 1-bit of superficial information in the hex code of any patched-in character .M2 file will cause the issue. Maybe it's a residual effect from anti-cheat mechanics?

UPDATE 2: Of course I'd figure out a solution 10 minutes after posting questions in every forum I could find. My solution, or hacky work-around, was to change the location of the character models from "Character\..." to "Creature\..." and update the CreatureModelData.DBC file to reflect this.

Thank you leeviathan :) I have played with the updated Patch for about a week and had no issues with stutter at all! works beautifully <3

I made a "race swap" based on your Patch and following this guide (got no experience with this stuff what so ever, im a 3d artist and not at all good with tecnical stuff.) https://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-of-warcraft/world-of-warcraft-model-editing/wow-me-tools-guides/39999-guide-changing-only-player-characters.html

Everything is still running and looking great after my "swap" :) super happy with my game!

have a great day and thank you again for your work

Others have done it, but I don't know how to make the client read custom patches without WoWMe in TBC.

Download wowme.exe, place in wow directory. ( where the tbc normal wow.exe is located. for example mine is E:\World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade 2.4.3.) Then download the .mpq file. place that in the same area, except now go into the data folder. ex: E:\World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade 2.4.3\Data. launch wowme.exe and your good to go.

Major update: just added a WotLK version with many improvements to the original mod including better facial textures and legion/bfa versions of helmets and shoulders. I will be updating the BC version and adding a CL version as soon as I can.

I tested your mod for wotlk and was incredibly surprised. NPC is almost the same as in the original wotlk client with only hd textures and no frills of the legion and bfa. You are a great lad who did this job.
I now have a question: in Northrend, all npc are replaced by hd or only a small part?
UPD: found a bug. Some sound emotions such as laughter, etc. are missing. at the Draenei and the Blood Elves.

All Human, Orc, Dwarf, NightElf, Undead, Gnome, Tauren, Troll, BloodElf, and Draenei NPCs use the same HD character models as player characters.

I fixed that emote bug, I must have just grabbed the wrong file initially. Thanks for pointing it out.

when i used the following mods in the following order: leeviathan's wod models, cata water, cata trees, goblin patch, finsternis' F and G patches, the modified patch-K that came with the goblin patch, the goblin models were perfectly working, but everything else was broken... when i deleted the patch-C and the patch-K, everything's good - i looked into the mpqs and i think these 2 patches could be working together because this wod model patch uses different dbc files (no creaturedisplayinfo) like in the patch-F or G

To make it all work:
1.) Delete your goblin patch
2.) Download this goblin patch (https://www.mediafire.com/file/65s9wu7tnxfxwsd/patch-GOBLINS.MPQ/file), rename the patch file so that it loads last
3.) Rename my WoD Character models patch file so that it loads second-to-last

Hello guys!

I love the mod, but I have one problem. I would like to use the WoWFOVFix.exe to automatically set the correct FOV in TBC, but that cannot run the WoWME.exe (I renamed it to WoW.exe, but it complains that it's not the correct one). Is there any solution for this mod to work with the FOV fix exe, or to work with the original exe?

Thanks!

I'm trying to get the WoD character models working and when i insert it into my data folder they load but there eyes are all missing and the faces are really distorted. The client I downloaded has patches patch,patch-2,patch-3 and patch-w. I've tried removing some or all of those in different order and it all results in the same glitch. Some help would be appreciated.

Patch-W is Warmane's WoD model patch - if you have both mods installed, they are conflicting. If I remember correctly they have another patch-W in the data/enUS folder, so that could cause glitches too.

It's called patch-enUS-w.mpq I think. Delete that too and this mod will work. Or if you want to make sure everything works, go to Warmane's site and download the 'Wrath of the Lich King (old)' client.

Hi there

I have a proposal.  I have a Multi Race Patch (worgen, pandaren, goblin, tuskar, etc), with Broken WOD characters and NPC (Classic errors like the Jaw not working, etc).

Would you fuse both works, and I could provide the files for both, patch, dbc, and core changes so everyone can have this?  A clean multirace patch with WOD characters and NPCs?

In what order should I load this + the goblins + finsternis´ creature models?

Ok, I got it working but it seems like male nightelve NPCs (not player characters) have the femal model with the male skin wrongly mapped to it.

I also noticed this patch breaks certain models from the finsternis creature patch, like the fire elemental. The databases have to get merged together for it to work perfectly.

I read a post on the Warmane forums...

Quote
Using Leeviathan's WoD Character Models being compatible with Finsters Patch-F. Using just those two gives new Player+NPC+Mounts+Creature models. (YES the whole f*cking package!!) Plus I haven't seen any bugs for now.

I did notice a problem with the Baron Geddon and the Flameguard NPCs that share his model. Head ot Molten Core and let me know if it also happens on your machine. I created a GM Island mod that randomizes the NPC models for all of the vendors and everything else looked good.

Any chance anyone knows a quick fix to get those Flameguard's sorted out?

PATCH-A - Leeviathan WoD Character Models (WOTLK)
PATCH-B - Goblin (PATCH-C)
PATCH-C - Finsternis Creature 1 (PATCH-F)
PATCH-D - Finsternis Creature 2 (PATCH-G)
PATCH-E - Finsternis TileSet 0.95 (PATCH-T)
PATCH-F - Cata Water
PATCH-G - Cata Trees

The issue is with the Dragonmaw Foreman (Display ID: 21441) located in the Netherwing Mines.

Hey, looks so that it could be a missing baked texture or a wrong file path in the CreatureDisplayInfoExtra.
It also could be that the id in the creaturedisplayinfo is wrong and linked to something in the CreatureDisplayInfoExtra what wants a texture that not exist.

I cant say what exactly make the issue,  because you use my,the goblin and Leeviathans mod and im not sure what there is new or different.
But i would check first the CreatureDisplayInfoExtra in goblin or leevis patch if they have one^^

I looked in the log of WMV and found that it was referencing this texture which isn't in any of the patches.

- Original: ffee4108dcabb5de4c0ab3343dd4d282.blp
- HD (missing) CreatureDisplayExtra-14575_HD.blp
- Ref: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=23376/dragonmaw-foreman#screenshots

PS - If you delete the model reference the client will crash, so I just put a replacement in.

I think this error could stem from the fact that this NPC had a bugged texture in Patch 6.0. It was supposedly fixed in 7.03. Another interesting thing is in WMV the texture shows a bugged texture on the model with a miner's headlamp. In one of the bugged retail screenshots the NPC has a blue cube on its head which I'm guessing is the missing miner helmet. Anyway.. fixed and moving on.

I probably won't release a version for Cataclysm, I have to pick a place to stop or else I'll be doing this forever. I could share the pre-retroported models with anyone that wants them though.

That would be great, it hurts that I do not know how to make the patches and everything custom.

Title: Goldshire Crash
Post by: Okimo on May 30, 2019, 11:09:08 pm
Hi,
so looks like I'm crashing in Goldshire possibly when Darkmoon faire is up (as its not happening on different server where DF isn't up).
I'm using only Patch-A for TBC version of game and running with WoWMe.exe
The rough translation of the error is:
Instruction at address 0x0.......047a9c0 was pointing to memory address 0x0....0018. Its unable to do operation with memory: read.
Second picture is just game without the patch.

Everything is perfect except for those shield sizes on female blood elves.. they're laughably small.

Hello.
It is the best mod to replace models to date.

I just have a problem with this mod, the same thing happens to the user "Sesh".
I play as a female Human, and the weapons when I holster them become much smaller than when you take them out. Is there any way to manually modify the size of the weapons? I love big guns and seeing them small is very annoying.

Thank you.

Just noticed an issue with the addition of new goblin models. Some female goblins have glowing Death Knight eyes. Seems like it's always this particular goblin female face that has the blue eyes. Thank you for all your hard work making this patch!

I am the guy who uploaded the Goblin portion of this patch and I looked at the exact goblins you showed in your screenshots and they have normal eyes on my end. I guess another patch you have is messing with the NPC databases?

EDIT: Double checking your images they also have different hair on your end then on mine, so something is definitely wrong with your set up.

Just deleted all other patches besides the WoD Character Model patch for WotLK and the issue is still present. I even cleared my cache and WTF folder just to make sure. They also have the same hair styles after deleting all other patches and clearing my cache.

Just re-downloaded the patch to see if I had an outdated version... But the issue is still present.

I think you might be using the wrong goblin patch.

This is the right one.

I saw someone here in this thread posted one on mediafire but that is a outdated one.

The latest version of leeviathan's WoD character models for WotLK includes Cata goblin models. I'm not using a separate patch for the goblin models.

Well then his patch is wrong, if you want to have a perfect working wow 3.3.5 with HD models use the following patches in this order:

1.This patch
2.my Goblin 1&2
3.finsternis Creaturepatch1
4.finsternis Creaturepatch2

Well... This did indeed fix the goblin female eyes glowing but it broke just about every other model. I placed them in the exact order you described.

[update 06-04-2019] Fixed Darkmoon Faire crash. Made Night Elf Male capes double-sided.

So I downloaded the classic one thinking it would work for ACTUAL classic, not just vanilla 1.12 private servers. Is there a guide for how to do this on Classic WoW LIVE servers? The game no longer uses MPQ files so it might be a bit harder to do. But the files already exist in current retail. Does ANYONE know how, or where to find information on this?

The classic retail dont use classic m2/dbc.
Even if you can bring this mod into the game, it will not work.

There is new information from Leeviathan.

"Regarding the listfile requests (added this blurb to my main post):

My MPQ files are all open for editing, but I see some people are having issues seeing the file structure. I'm not sure why, but if you're having issues seeing the file structure you can extract the file called (listfile), rename it to listfile.txt and add it back to the MPQ. That should allow you to see the file structure."
