Hey everyone!
I wasted nearly 2.5 hours but coulnt find a proper guide on how to convert e.g. an npc model from WoD/MoP to Cata and actually get it to work in the game. Could someone post a link here?

If you want to convert creatures c(Thrall, Vol'Jin, Talbuk, ...) you can use this tool:

Have you ever tried to just drag and drop the files from MoP to Cata? I mean you know.. since they use the same format and all that. WoD models may give you a bit of trouble but if it's stuff from MoP's installation, it should work as a simple drag and drop.

Drag and drop the thing into the patch isnt a problem for me. The problem is what do I do to actually see the model ingame?

Same thing we all do in LK mate, DBC Editing. Just don't be an idiot (like I was lol) and try to use LK Dbc files on Cataclysm, they have their own format, so make sure you actually Edit a Cataclysm DBC even if you are following an LK Tutorial or if you know how to do it in LK already, yeah... ^^
