"Retro-Porting" / [QUESTION] Druid Forms for MoP?

Are there updated Druid Forms for MoP that one can download?

How do I make this work with finsternis' models for wotlk?

One way: Install both of our mods then create your own mod which just contains a merge of our CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc files and install that on top of everything. The info.txt file included with my mod has a list of all the DBC edits I've made (it's not very many) to make that easier.

This is just mumbo-jumbo for about 99% of the users on this Forum.

Can you just make the Tree of Life Form compatible with Finsternis' Legion Creature Models and his WoD models? :3

Finsternis' won't make an optional Tree of Life form download because he "doesn't like it" so we're kinda screwed there.

Can someone at least tell me what to do? I just downloaded a 4.3.4 client so I could extract files I guess? I have MyWarcraftStudio, WoWModelViewer and a DBC-Editor.

I'm searching for Tree of Life Form in Cataclysm's data files and I can't even find it :c

I'm beginning to get desperate and will start offering money via PayPal.

Title. Is it possible to get this changed? I'd like to see the 4.3.4 Cata Tree Form on a 3.3.5 WotLK Client.

If it's possible, could someone make it for me? :>

"Retro-Porting" / [QUESTION] 7.3 spells effects to 3.3.5?
« on: September 24, 2017, 12:51:25 am »
I was wondering if it's possible to get the 7.3 patch spell effects onto the 3.3.5 client?
Not even 7.3 to be honest, 4.3.4 would work too, namely..

Wrath
Typhoon
Hurricane
Starfire

Etc, basically just Druid spells?

Hello.

I'm using an addon called "Adapt: Almost-Default Animated Portraits - Unit Frames -" and "Shadowed Unit Frames", in the animation of Portraits you see the body instead of the face :S

Only with female humans, dwarves and undead.

This is how it should look

This bug only happens using the texture patch.

Is there any solution?

I have not found a fix for this and I've been looking for 3 months. Same thing happens when using Xperl. The only solution I've found is to not use Xperl's 3D portrait :c

It seems as though boots aren't appearing properly on any of the models. They do appear properly on the NPCS however.

For example, boots on a player model basically outline the foot. You can see the toes, and the nails. Just covered really. Instead of actually appearing like an actual boot/footwear.

Also, the bottoms of robes are also affected by this. If you don't have boots on, the bottom of the robe that appears connected to the foot (Where the robe would sit) has the same color of your skin. If you equip a pair of boots, it takes on the color of the boots.

Do keep in mind that if you use these in Vanilla, you HAVE to LAA your wow.exe or else your client WILL crash and you'll see tearing on models skin/clothing. (Large Address Aware)

This includes all playable races and npcs.
Also some druid forms from legion

http://www.mediafire.com/file/k9tojac6nd9996g/

Known bugs:
-weapon sheath animation not working
-missing sounds on emotes like laugh, cry, kiss, chicken.
-every undead has glowing eyes

If someone knows how to fix those bugs let me know!
I might make a version without the druid forms later to make it work with Uthil's patch when it's released.

Thanks to the Koward and the others for great tools, tutorials and mods out there.

I knew this would happen one day! :D :D :D. GOOD JOB! It works really well! Hopefully we can get some fixes on the whole weapon situation! Thanks so much!!

That doesn't work bro' ! I can make the patch, but it's like yours, very small (~1+Mo) ; Strange. I'll retry tomorrow and test it !!

 8-)  8-)

Thx !

The patch is small. because I am only giving you the DBC´s...  you have to erase DBC files from Warmanes and Finsternis, and only use my patch for this.

Hey, which files do I need to erase? I'm VERY new to DBC editing. I've managed to extract my DBC files. They're all now in a folder titled "Dbc" I'm not too sure what to do at this point

EDIT: I'll be damned, I got it. DBC file editing is actually extremely easy, it's always scary entering the unknown though. Google is FULL of tutorials.

Hey !  :)

It's easy. First, download this :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8xvHOnjNZYbSlFoS3lZWENWQ0U (Thx to Piccolo)

Then put this file in your DATAenUS-frFR-enGB...etc....Folder, in the game install directory. Second, download the Legion creature to WotlK patch here ; Then put it in your DATA forlder. Third, download the patch-w.mpq from Warmane formu (easy to find on their forum). And put it in the DATA folder.

When you have all 4 files, download this : (MPQ editor)

http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html

In the process, never touch the mpq patch posted by Piccolo (the Patch-xx-w.mpq), but open (one after the other) :

patch-w.mpq
patch-F.mpq
patch-G.mpq

And delete the DBC folder. After that, just close the mpq editor, no need to save, it's automatic !!! And YEAAAH ! Enjoy !!! If the big pigs annoying you, you can edit them with a SQL DB client. There's good tuto's on Trinity Core website (DB reference).

Have fun !!  8-)  8-)

Hmm, this is odd. There's no DBC folder inside of Patch-G and I can't for the life of me open patch-W. It seems protected?

dyke12,
People are here because they like doing this, not because they are paid to.  These guys are putting out content that speaks to them or to their needs.

If they have the time I’m sure they would help, in fact given that there are 4 pages of comments it looks like people are trying.  Many aspects of this work are very, very time consuming.  Keep in mind people may not want to share all of the info in their DBCs, and creating a patch for just this data take time as well.

Modcraft is a forum for learning, some people are kind enough to post their work but it is not a requirement.  If you like the models and want to use them it looks like you’ll have to do some investigation and it has been my experience many people here will help point you in the right direction, if you willing to look for answers, ask questions, and are willing to follow their advice.

Hey, at least you are not starting from scratch.

I can totally 100% understand this. However, it looks like people who do this kind of stuff are looking for money. I want to again redirect to a post I had made earlier, about Tomb Raider. There is absolutely NO MONEY involved. Someone has completely rewritten the TRLE (Tomb Raider Level Editor) engine all from scratch (NGLE) and has given new features, new scripts etc, all for free. Why can't it be the same here? Why is money involved? It's absolutely horrible and the people involved on ANY WoW modding asking for money should be absolutely ashamed.

Can someone please upload the files I need to get these Legion Creature Models working with WoD Char models? Thanks!

No brainer right ?! I believe you got your answer already by amaroth. If you are in a such "hurry" try doing it by your self and then share your work with the rest of us here.  :ugeek:

I know nothing about DBCs and will continue to post what I've been posting until someone is kind enough to help. c: This forum could definitely use a good bit of pointers on generosity/helpfulness. Just take a look at tombraiderforums.com under the level editor section, you'll see what I mean c:

I might sounded mean but its the truth. Take me in example, i didn't know shit about modding WoW. I've started a project of mine slowly and expanded it to what it is now, and you can ask amaroth in case of proof. What i did ? I started to search the forums for tools, tutorials and did it for my SELF only. That was the beginning, before i go full public. Its not people that aren't helpful, its that they dont like to give chewed food directly, in other words if you dying to fix the models start looking by your self on how to or  until a fix is properly made.

Amaroth himself said he could fix it. Apparently it's a matter of DBC editing. I don't see the big deal on "Chewed food" That's fucking horrible.
