Title: [QUESTION] Startup Strings.dbc

Hello modcrat, i have a problem.
when i start WoW.exe, i get the error that Startup Strings.dbc is unable to open.
is someone here, who can upload a workin startup strings.dbc from locale-deDE.MPQ ?

You need to extract it from patch-*, instead of locale-*. They are overwritten. You need to extract and modify the latest version.

i tried it, but there is no startup strings.dbc
i opened patch-deDE-1 - 3

Believe me, there has to be one. If WoW claims that the number of columns is wrong, you always have extracted the wrong version.

Open all the mpqs in merged mode and the highest priority one will be loaded and you can extract it then.

i opened patch-locale-deDE - patch-deDE-3.mpq and now? what do you mean with highest priority?
i only find the startup strings from locale-deDE. but this dbc is unable to open from my wow.exe

oh eeehm... i dont know why, but i habe copied my wow folder to desktop and it works.. :D :)
