Hello everyone ! I decided to start a new project, but I don't know exactly what is the best in model changing (I'm telling about the version of Warcraft client). Some people said it's the 3.3.5 but I don't like the WOTLK extension and I prefer TBC or Vanilla so my question is : what is the best between both ? It is possible to so something in these versions or we can't do the same things that in the 3.3.5 ? (Add new race, new combo race/classes...)
Thanks for your answers :)

Modding is on 335a. All current tools and guides are for this version.
You have realy to serach hard for older versions.

Hi it depends what you want to achieve.
Currently i am working over classic modding, but checked also tbc. So i can say, if you want add more playable races chose tbc.
Classic can support only 9 races ( 8 currently avilable for players) , tbc can support about 16 ( 10 currently used) .
TBC requires wow model edit fix starterd before wow.exe if you wish to have additional patch.mpq with modded stuff, instead wow will crash after entering to modded area.
Classic and tbc requires more tools for creating own areas. Also you must remember about tbc or classic client limitations.
it was a short overwiev from my side.

TBC requires wow model << Old versions also needed an MEFix. 335a only need one if you cahnge interface. Older always needed one :)

Another much more importandtip is.
Dont start own new project. Join on that still exists.
You willnever finish something if you work alone or in a smale 3 till 5 men team.
If people would work more together there would be also still a server online :)
And help others here and share all you find out.
