Miscellaneous / [HELP] Custom races Wow Error
« on: February 20, 2015, 07:57:06 pm »
Hi there Modcraft! I'm trying to add both goblin (from cata) and high elf to the character creation screen. I managed to make them appear in the creation screen but...

As you can see, the race buttons moved but i think that is just a XML thing that is fixed just by changing the X Y coords in the code. There is no problem when the goblin or high elve race is preselected randomly but when another race is selected and i click in the races this WoWError appear:

It does also happen when i select another races when goblin or high elf is selected and when i change from male to female with the goblin or high elf. I have follow different tutorials and this is the closest i have get this far. Could someone thrown some light here and help me with this? Thank you all guys!

PD: If i manage to finish this i will release it here.

Now that you are saying that, i have revised the DBC i've using. I have been using a mix of DBCs and Character files. Some DBCs have entries referring to Character files that i didn't include in the patch i've been testing. That's the problem, i think.

Miscellaneous / [ERROR] Character Creation Screen = Wow Error

Hi there Modcraft! Well, i've trying to add some races to the Character Creation Screen and i have encountered this error... I have changed the MAX_RACES in the CharacterCreation.lua to 15 as i have added 5 more races to the character creation screen. When i click the "Create a new character" buttom the "Too many races! Update MAX_RACES" message appears in the screen. So, i decided to change the 15 and put a 16 instead, just in case. Now, when i log in instead of a "Too many races!" message, i get this lovely WoW Error:

Could someone help me, please? Thank you!

Thank you! But, how can i fix that? I have looked inside the WMOareatable.dbc file, as Barov suggested, but i don't really know what to change in that DBC...

Hi there Modcraft! I've been modding a little bit some areas of Blizzard and a lot of my own and i have noticed something. Everytime i walk in some of the WMO i've placed, especially the human wmo like human_farm or humantwostory the background music and ambient sounds change from the Goldshire ones (in this case in particular) to the ones from Duskwood. Is this normal? Is a bug? Can i fix it? Thank you!

Well, i don't know how but i did the whole adts again and it works. This time i used SLD 1.2, instead of 1.3 and now everything seems to be going fine.

I mark this as solved and thanks to everyone who tried to help me!

Miscellaneous / [SOLVED] Problem with FPS and my noggit maps
« on: February 08, 2014, 07:20:23 pm »
Hi there! This is my first time asking for help here and i don't even know if im posting this in the right place...

Well... I have been working in a zone with noggit and everything runs smoothly. I have made some other maps and never have any kind of problems. But recently, i have been working in a new zone and when i add the ADT to a patch and tested it in my server my fps goes down. Normally i have around 60 fps but with this last patch it goes down till 3-4 fps.

I don't know what is causing this... I thought it could be the number of wmos the ADTs has but i've made maps with even more and nothing seem to be wrong. Moreover, while i go into the building my fps rate becomes normal again. There are also some parts of it where my fps are normal, but since i set a foot in some concrete areas of the adts everything goes so slow again.

What could be causing this? Ground Effects? Wmos?

Thank you for your help. Bye!
