Hello guys!
I'm facing a strange problem right now! I just changed my old computer for a new one, a loooooot more powerful (ASUS ROG). But i don't know why, noggit (whatever the version i'm using) is now lagging and freezing as hell (it was working like a charm on the old one  ).
My configuration : Windows 10, GTX 860M 2GB, 2.6 GHZ [3.6 GHz with turbo], 16MO of memory, etc.
It seems to be another problem : when i try to select .m2 or .wmo, it is very difficult to select the right one. Instead, it often selects other items that are below, or near the target. It looks like the is a problem with the cursor...
Maybe i forgot to install something? Can someone help me? :?
(Version of WoW : 3.3.5a, Version of Noggit : whatever, 1.2, or 1.3, or 1.4)

did u update your computer? and net framework and all these things?
-
i think i did all udpates yes (via windows update)
But i can't see any version of .net framework in my softwares...! and when i try to install .net framework 4.5.2, it says that a more recent version of the software is already installed! :?

Hi! I get the same problem, when I select a m2/wmo it works good but when I deselect it, it's slow very slow :(
-
Please read the how to post .. post!

Oops, sorry. I just added the version of wow, the noggit config and the log files. Hope you will be able to help me with this^^
-
move out patch 4 and patch t and try again.
and again ;) not. net needed for noggit. cpp runtime only and an gfx card with and good open gl driver
-
i removed patch t amd 4 from my file "Client335aNoggit". I don't see any difference :(
I downloaded again the whole WoWModding file, without any custom maps and patches, but still lagging as hell... i don't know what to do! I don't understand why is there any problem, knowing that my original WoWModding file is exactly the same as the one which was on my old computer (and which worked perfectly).
I think something is missing on this new computer... if someone has an another idea, it would be great^^. If not, i would try to find alone what's the problem. In any case, thanks to all for the help!

Your CPU? How much RAM?

I had had the same problem with my new computer.
You just have wrong graphic card selected for being used by noggit, you probably have it running on integrated card. Open your graphic driver settings (NVIDIA?) and open something like 3d settings. You should be able to add Noggit into list of apps with modified preferences and set your game graphic card there. Screen is in czech, I can't provide any english one, but I hope it will give you better idea what the hell am I talking about.:
http://s16.postimg.org/yisqrzisl/tmp.jpg (http://s16.postimg.org/yisqrzisl/tmp.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
"Vysokorychlostní procesor NVIDIA" means "High-speed processor NVIDIA" or something like that.
EDIT: "1220 - (Video.cpp:204): [Debug] GL: Renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600" - here we go. Integrated one.
-
Could be the Problem. But noggit works fine on integrated grafix if they Support the needed opneGL Version.
1220 - (Video.cpp:202): [Debug] GL: Version: 4.3.0 - Build 10.18.15.4256
As this do.
I think this could be the Problem.
27403 - (ModelManager.cpp:44): [Error] Exception Unknown exception while loading worldkalimdordiremaulpassivedoodadsanimalheadstatuesdiremaulstonedeerstatue.m2
Clear out all adts from your Project Folder and try to load again.
If this works it is a bug in one of the files. Add them in small sets till noggit crash again..

Steff, I had exactly the same problems as he is describing. Lags, problems with selecting models (no were selected/completely another were) and so on. Changing used GPU was all I needed to do with that. And I also remember at least 3 guys who had similiar probles and setting game card to be used by noggit solved them, too.
It seems that OpenGL is either not supported by those Intel HD cards, or, more likely, there is some another reason why noggit can't run properly on them. Like I said, this guy would be at elast the 4th who can't run noggit on Intel HDs in new computers from last lets say about 1-2 years.
-
as i said. it could be the problem. but i habe the same intel cpu in my work pc and noggit runs fine... not bery fast but ;)
ao please first try to activate other cpu if you have 2.
then try to remove adts.
-
There is one more interresting fact about this problem Steff. Lags are there only if terrain is shown. Hiding terrain/looking somewhere, where isn't ADT/flying to so big height that you don't see terrain anymore makes lags stop. So only rendering of terrain model itself lags noggit with those Intel HDs. M2 and WMO Models don't.

interesting.

okay, thanks to both! i'm not at home now, i will try this when i come back. Hope it will work^^

Wow! It works like a charm with your solution Amaroth! Problem solved, it's very fluid now! :D
Thanks a lot Amaroth (and thanks to the others that tried to help me too^^)!
