Title: [REQUEST] WoodTroll_Temple WMO
Post by: Keta on September 08, 2011, 05:19:06 pm
[center:8o6so432]Hello Modcraft![/center:8o6so432]

I was hoping one of you epic 3ds Max people could possibly help me with this WMO. What Im hoping you could do for me, is opening the WoodTroll_Temple (WorldWmoDungeonWoodTroll_TempleWoodTroll_Temple.WMO) in 3dsMax and edit it so it only contains the entrance and the first room. Just please patch up the hallway to the next room with a flat ending wall or something :P Here's a picture of what I wish you could do exactly x)

Thank you for reading, and please, if you want to help me by making this, feel free to either PM or leave a message with the DL link :P Or if you wanna talk more about it, PM/leave comment with MSN/Skype.

Now, some of you might ask why I don't do it myself. Answer is quite short. I've NEVER found it interesting to actually edit models, and therefore I don't really know anything about it. So yeah.
This would be considered a contribution to the Maruum project too, as this model is going to be a part of my build, once I finish it :)

Thanks
Keta

probably easiest put a door, or insert a piece of the wall. (single object in ADT)

By the way it WMO is used in the Glizzly hills.

Im kinda split in understanding completely what you mean, so Im gonna give both sides of the my understanding:

1) Well the problem is if I simply do that, the rest of the WMO will poke out on the other side of the mountain >.<
Problem is, there isn't room for the entire WMO, and thats why I need to cut most of it off, so you only have the entrance, and that first room.

2) Thats what I mean. Take a piece of the wall which is already there, and use that to fill out the open space there :p

Thanks

aa, of course.
-------
You can convert wmo> 3ds (in wowmodelviewer). Trim most of the models, and to convert 3ds to m2. or convert 3ds to mdx, and mdx to m2. - But such a model will not be collision.
----------
Perhaps, if during the week will have free time, I will make thee cut version, but it will have. M2 format.
And not collisi...

Well isn't it possible to simply convert the WMO to 3dsMax, remove the huge extra space, so there's only the room and the entrance, and then simply convert back into WMO? Wouldn't that keep collision? I recall reading somewhere that you can add/restore collision to WMOs? :p Or am I just really ignorant regarding this? x)

Thanks

If you can show us a working converter to WMO with collision, that would be possible.

Well I dunno about WITH collision, but in the 'Tools' section there is a WMO -> 3dsMax converter :S

Thanks

WMO -> 3dsMax
But you see the direction of that arrow yourself, right?
