Title: [QUESTION] Area Table Edit
Post by: Nic on November 22, 2010, 02:16:27 pm
Hey,

i found your great big Tutorial (viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26&p=395#p395 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26&p=395#p395" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)). I have change the Name from a Zone. This zone is by map 0. Then i have create an Hack Patch with the edit DBC. When i log in, i see the Areachange, but in the who list there is the old name from the zone. When i replace the old dbc file in the core data with the new dbc file, it gives many errors by the core (Zone 0 not found and so).

Can you help me?

I've got a similar problem, in /who list it's all correct but not in the display above the minimap, but I thought it's coz my weird taliis version without AreaID Edit. My Zones are all linked to "The Graveyard" sub-zone of Duskwood. Don't know why.

regards

Curas

P.S.
The right place for this topic should be Database Section eh?

Teh minimap name depends on the AreaID that is set in the ADT.
You can reset this for the hole adt in Taliis over the menu.

Yes Steff, I know. But it seems like that didn't work for me, something is wrong with my Taliis Version, I don't know what. Here's a screenshot, the first is from Eluos Tut, so I thought it's his version.

Eluos Version:

My Version:

Hope you can help me out with a working version of taliis

thanks in advance and best regards

Curas

Could it be that the server save the zonename into his DB?
Change the zone exit client and relog. Then change zone again. I just setup my new pc so I havend access to our server jet to test this out.

Arcemu only store the map and position on it. So the server must resolve the name form the mapid and position.. So this idea is dead :( Someone other any clues?
