Hey, Steff...
Can you please compile x64 version of this?
Title: Re: [RELEASE]  Noggit3 SDL 1.1
Post by: Steff on May 01, 2012, 09:35:24 am
Its not so easy ecause of the libs. I have to recompile then all and dont even know if all qre 64bit ready. And then the question is if noggit source will work with 65 bit. We will only make bugfixes for SDL version and spend the rest of the time in the QT version.

@Vel: and if you have mor such bugs, just post or PM me.

I think that it is because i have it now. I tried several things to solve it, but didn't work. Maybe i didn't try one, but i dont think so.

As u can see, each time i want to add wmo, there something like that in the log file

i actually did some work on this earlyer today (or yesterday whatever) to make the rendering method more effective....

seems to be quite blizzlike, Mjo made some screens to compare but i cant find them atm.... (Mjo if u still have them post here :)

also some progress @Noggit QT: i found a solution to render textures on qt gui elements for texture selection dialog
also there is now a basic "template" for the editors

@FuTa multiple layer alpha import bug: still no solution found since i cant reproduce the failure, if someone could create 1 broken file and 1 proper file (open -> import -> close -> open -> import) using the same adt and alphamaps and pm them to me it would help me a lot. when i solved this i will release the new version of FuTa with WDL generation support .....

Title: Re: [RELEASE]  Noggit3 SDL 1.1
Post by: Steff on May 12, 2012, 09:18:33 pm
Thanks:)

The hole tool is the only one that use old selection because the new dont work if you have a hole and want to get it back. New selection need exisitng renderd stuff to work.

So in the past you had this problem with all tools. Thats why you cant use it for 3d paint and had much problems with other stuff in the past.

And if you want to add water you can usehttp://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=848&hilit=Gretchin

I dont know if it is just an current problem with my old bc adt's, but Noggit crash instand if I join my own area. But if I spawn a bit aways, toggle shadows off and fly to the zone, it works. But I just can copy WMO's not MDX o.O

I try to upgrade all my old ADT's into Wotlk but I'm not sure if this is the problem.
Title: Re: [RELEASE]  Noggit3 SDL 1.1

Noggit only supports wow 335a. File formats have changed, so also the DBCs.

No, seriously, good job on trying to fix it <3
Title: Re: [RELEASE]  Noggit3 SDL 1.1
Post by: Norimar on June 18, 2012, 08:19:40 pm
Is there no way to convert the old BC adt's into wotlk ?
I can make them playable but not editable with Noggit 3.
I use following steps:

1. Paint the ADT with Noggit 1; copy objects with Noggit 1.4Alpha
2. Put the ADT into the groundeffect tool (without fix) to set up the texture effects.
3. Now put the ADT into the 3.3.5a wow path for noggit 3, open it and just save it. Close Noggit3.
4. The ADT will now turn into the groundeffect - fix to make it ready for wotlk.
5. At last, the ADT went into the AllWaterWotlk tool to fix wather settings.

- A the end alls works perfect! But the problem is, Noggit 3 crashs in those areas and the copy function does just work on WMO's. At the end, I looks like to Build the World with the old Noggit versions, push the ADT through all this steps and at the end, having the resoult... but for each fix or update, its possible - but is there another / better way?

Crashes all the time ... Don't worry, I won't ask anyone here, Schlumpf already told me, that I am a random user who doesn't know how to run a software that is  runnin' perfectly  ...

He just said, that your config isn't right.. you still have  commented out lines which you need..
If you set up the config right and don't use any other wow version than 3.3.5a it will work!

Thats like go to a door where you can read an OPEN ME on it.  You just dont read it because such stuff is useless and then run true it and get big headache. And after this the on build in this shit fucking door made a fault.

THERE are 3 errors that are descriped in the manual and every second dont read it

PATH MUST END WITH AN >>>>>>><<<<<<<<<

LINES WITH # IN FRONT ARE COMMENTS: NOGGIT DONT READ THEM.

THE CONFIG FILE NAME HAVE THE WORD TEMPLATE IN IT. YOU MUST REANME TO noggit.conf

SO

Path = E:WoW 3.3.5                <<<<<<IS RIGHT (if in this folder a 335a wow exists)

Path = E:WoW 3.3.5                <<<<<<IS WRONG \\\\\ missing on end

#Path = E:WoW 3.3.5            <<<<<<IS WRONG # on start. Noggit dont use it

noggit_template.conf              <<<<<<IS WRONG
noggit.conf                                <<<<<<IS RIGHT

you all can read it here or in several posts you can find in the noggit board.

wiki/index.php5?title=Noggit_user_manual#The_config_file (http://modcraft.io/wiki/index.php5?title=Noggit_user_manual#The_config_file" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

and now agression level back to normal ;)
