[PROBLEM] Converting

Morning,
I have a small problem. I created simple .3ds and convert to MDX with (OBJ to MDX).
Now I use MDXtoM2.exe and it creater me m2 and skin files. (Set ID: 999001, Hex: -1, subAnim: -1)
I create patch and folder Filipsons. Now I put all files (mdx, m2, skin, blp) to Filipsons folder noggit and ModelViewer still crashing.
Some idea? Thanks for reading and sorry for English.

OK I tested save as .obj and convert with MES.exe but i still dont see texture. But MV dont crashing.

My second process.

-Create model in Blender

pic2
-Export this model to .3ds format. (puska.3ds)

pic3
- start "cmd" and type
cd Desktop
cd Filipsons
3dstom2.exe puska.3ds puska.m2 puska00.skin

-I get puska.m2 and puska00.skin from 3dstom2.exe
-I open patch-x.mpq and folder Filipsons
-Copy puska.m2 and puska00.skin in the Filipsons folder.

NEWS: 3Dstom2.exe is a program for TBC. I need some convertor for WOTLK.

If you have the M2 in TBC format, then surely the hard parts are done and converting it to a WOTLK format shouldn't be too hard?

There is a M2 template for 3.3.5a using 010 editor. Just apply that and mess around, I can't imagine data changed that much. Though it might have changed a lot still. :P

If you imagine, but don't know, try reading the wiki. A lot changed. Back in the days, I even failed at bringing the f&f alpha DK armor to BC.

Ah. Why even change the structure that much? o_o It's not like Blizzard is efficient at keeping file sizes down and not wasting space.

Essentially (and schlumpf told me so a while ago as well), TBC and WOTLK is technically the same. If you want to make sure, though, try read them out with PyModelEditor. If it can read it out, it can write it as WotLK file. But, the 3dstom2 should work, though. Never had issues with that.

WE tried (me and Filipsons) 3dstoM2.exe but it makes mess ... half of Verticles was correct half was messed up. And ALL OTHER convertors is not fuction ... MDX to M2 makes no output, art of ilusion script makes zero textures (unrepairble) and all other smple dont work.

Try doing 3ds to mdx. Make sure the bones are named Bone0 or Bone1 or so on so forth, Or try using my guide on making items, it works with pretty much anything stationary. But for the MDX method the bone names need to be like that then follow the guide that Phucko has done with the nullmodel.mdl
