Title: [SOLVED] [OSX] setting up Noggit, errors.
Post by: Domminust on February 13, 2012, 03:44:17 pm
Hi. First let me say, both Modcraft and Maruum look like great projects and its cool to see things like this come alive.

I am trying to setup Noggit on my mac 10.6.8 and I am getting some errors.

After doing some research on the forums I found some links and other peoples troubleshooting, and it led me this far.

First, this happened:

Code: [Select]
Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/SDL.framework/Versions/A/SDL
  Referenced from: /Users/mileskoblin/Downloads/Noggit/Noggit 2/Noggit 3.app/Contents/MacOS/noggit
  Reason: image not found

So I downloaded some archive library with resources and SDL and put the files in contents/frameworks/SDL.framework/Versions/A

And that fixed that error.

Now when I start up Noggit I Get a log stating:
Code: [Select]
44 - (Noggit.cpp:129): Noggit Studio - 3.261+
44 - (Noggit.cpp:147): [Error] Can not find arial.ttf.

Any help and guidance besides "Get a windows PC" is welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks

YEsss Im retarded and didn't put the arial.ttf in my library....

I'd download windows 7 happily if I found a free version.

Yeaa man this works. Opens Noggit no problem. Now to learn how to use this program :). Thanks very much!!

edit: My wow is in applcations/world of warcraft, so I dont think I need to edit noggit.conf... but. all of the .txt and .conf are aliases and says cannot be opened because the original cant be found... But again, I guess it doesnt matter becaues its working fine?

Saving and implementing changes into game...

Hi I seem to have a problem saving.. Or maybe applying the patch to work in game...

first to note that I haven't changed this in the .conf file:
Code: [Select]
#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
#ProjectPath = E:project01
maybe I need to do something with that and thats my problem?

So i'll save in Noggit, save all, save current, ill do both. Then I think save goes to worldofwarcraftworldmaps... right?

Illl see Azeroth folder there with the tiles listed that i worked with... I take the Azeroth folder, put into "dropmpq" rename the mpq to patch-11.mpq (or whatever) and put it in my World of warcraft/Data

I go into game and my changes aren't there.....Am I doing something wrong? Noggit itself is saving my edits, just in game isn't working.

Thanks guys, YES I will post pictures.

Good luck with Maruum, it is such a good idea of a project. I would like to contribute to it when I get the hang of this stuff.
