Title: [QUESTION] Portrait character
Post by: Namok on November 16, 2014, 02:38:44 pm
Hi guys ! Today I would like to try something, indeed I would like change this current portrait, face (in 2.4.3 wow version) and replace by current portraits, design is better.
Who knows where can I find those images and replace it ?

Portrait are generate when we customize our character, facial, pilosity etc... So I don't know where they are based, I tried in Interface/CHARACTERFRAME but not working.

Thank for reading ;)

It's lua related things.

I'd look to the Unit Frames addons, like Perl or SUF (Shadowed Unit Frames).  They have different portrait styles: 2D arts, animated 3D etc.

So, try to find their 2.4.3 versions and check the lua code, maybe it helps.

The portraits are depending of the M2 characters file, they are automatically generated so I can't change them except if I change the models.

Correct, and for anyone interested, you can change the placeholder pictures though. They are used if the teammate is outside of visible range or farther away, e.g. another map.
