Title: New Expanion and wowedit.

I just wanted to share something with you guys.

I have found the expansion thing not on my own. I have read about it on vanion.eu. There is currently just a texture inside. The wow edit thing was found by me.

yes i guess they didn't clean WOWedit up in the ..... PTR im gonna download it now

Did you check for debug information in the executable?

They did the same in patch 3.3.5. They added Twilight Hammer doodads to the game files (inside the "Expansion04" folder).
And that "AtlasImage0000000088.png" file is the Mists of Pandaria pet battles UI from Mists of Pandaria beta (when the cross used to be red instead of green). I think they accidentally copied it and forgot to convert it to BLP :P

I realy dont know what all guys always ahve with WoW edit?
It will only work with a blizzard server. NOT with an emu. So even if you have. You cant use it.

The pretty much only thing required to run wowedit is a mysql server for syncing uids as well as a svn for the files.

I think the tool deirect communicates with the server and exchange data exactly as the client do.
But it is algussing as noonerealy knows.

I doubt there's anything of it going to be released. But, if they do it might be a smiliar approach as Neverwinter has which allows player made dungeons/quests.

But, it's not happening, because it's Blizzard.

Most of the image is already used ingame though, so I doubt it's for WoWedit or anything.

And indeed, they already addes some stuff of Cata in WotLk too, for the prelaunch event. So might be the same thing.
