Title: Skyrim
Post by: Bartons on November 12, 2011, 10:39:56 pm
I seem to be stuck playing this game. Nothing else in my life matters at the moment.

Here's my character with an arrow stuck in the head.

17 hours... I doubt that, not without hacking, mate...

I was so happy about installing/downloading steam (40min), giving my data to steam, trying to install it from the DvD, etc, that I put a pitchfork through the game.

Will upload the picture tomorrow, as i can get the picture from my mobilephone on the pc.

I get it working today, played about 7 hours, yeah very funny. Had been much funnier as I could install it in 10 minutes like any other F***** game before steam.

:)
I had tons of problems installing it too. And when I got it working I had to download 600mb patches with ~70kb/s. I hate steam...
But the game is awesome nonetheless. ^^

It's fantastic how most of my favorite Oblivion mods made their way into Skyrim. :)

The developers of Skyrim finished the main quest in like 3 hours, it's definitly possible, but you miss a shitload of the sidequests, beauty and probably loads of Shouts aswell.

wtf...I just completed the main quest chain as well....after I had spent 30 hours exploring EVERYTHING I decided to continue the quest chain and BAM! ended FAAAAR too quickly. It was like read this, get this, kill him, teh end. That's sucks...I mean it was epic and all (fuck I love Sovngarde, esp the soundtrack of it) but if I'm not mistaken the main storyline of Oblivion was far longer right?

Oh and am I the only thief/murderer who absolutely hates the absence of a real big city?
Even Bravil and the shitty "small" towns were bigger or at least just as big as Solitude, the biggest city in Skyrim.

Well other than that: absolfuckinglutely love this game. The Elder Scrolls games are one of the last modern games which actually still honor the Roleplaying part in RolePlaying Games.

I've got the feeling cities are smaller indeed, but Margath(?) is just the coolest town I've ever seen in any TES game so far.

So far, I've played Skyrim and found the experience amazing!

.. Though, it was rather quick for me as well- Finished up main quest line and did some other quests and now I have no idea what hell I'm supposed to do. :P I'm all for it more questline, problems, what not. What happened to Phauuranx or whatever his time. And so on.

You should try Dark Brotherhood questline! It's pretty amazing, tbh.
