Title: Object limit on noggit?
Post by: Poisonleaf on June 25, 2015, 08:44:34 pm
Hiya,

I recently started dressing up my remastered zone but when addind objects (mostly tree's)
when I want to save the file, alot of them dissappear.

I noticed that only a X amount of objects stay like there is a limlit.

Anyone know anything about this ?

Hi, sometimes I have the same problem, but I think there arent any limits of models (when they first dissappeared there were less models than are now). Sometimes when I spawn too many models this happens, I'm not sure of it, but this is what I've noticed, when I spawn too many models some of them will just dissappear, so I'm carefull now about how many models do I spawn (when I feel like I've already spawned too many models I will just save it and restart noggit) and I have no more problems with that. I use noggit version 4 months old and  haven't downloaded the new one yet (yeah I'm really lazy :D), so I don't know if this help you, hopefully it will..

English isn't my native language!

This is a known bug in Noggit 1.4. There is no current fix.

It is well known problem. There isn't way to fix it at all, but there is a way to not have this happening anymore. Save only once per running application. Whenever you save your progress, always restart application before making any other edits (and saves) to your zone.

I would also suggest you to always save the whole zone you are editing together. Fix gaps (all ADTs) in Assist menu is the best tool for marking all ADTs on map as edited.

So, to avoid any saving bugs:
1. run noggit
2. fly through the whole zone, so all ADTs are loaded (well, this won't be possible in blizzlike continents, I know...)
3. use Assisst -> fix gaps (all ADTs)
4. do your edits, whatever you wish
5. save
6. close noggit
7. repeat the whole process if you wish to continue with another edits after saving
