[Question] How do I use MoP Textures in Noggit?
« on: December 25, 2013, 08:18:38 am »
I have downloaded the MoP textures patch-T, I've put it in my Data folder of my 3.3.5a WoW client. Noggit paths are correct. I run Noggit and search for the MoP textures but I can't find them.

Second question: In the newest version CTRL + Shift + Left Mouse Click doesn't clear all textures on an ADT. Is this intended? Is it a bug? How can I change it? And if there is no way to change it, how else can I delete textures off an ADT?

Thanks.

The texture files have to be in TILESETEXPANSION04"Texturefolder"
You can clear a chunk with CTRL+ALT+SHIFT in noggit 1.3

You need to use MPQ Editor to extract them there..  Steff goes through the process of extracting files from MPQs to use with Noggit in the Noggit tutorial.

Noggit do not load textures from project folder.
So you need an mpq including them in your noggit  wow source folder.

And again use the 4 textur system and do not  delete textures.  Swap them!

Noggit does read textures from disk. It doesn't find them though: to get the list of available textures, it uses the MPQ listfiles. If it is in any MPQ, you can overwrite it on disk.

Use MPQEditor to put the files into the right folder.
You can find it here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=795
Anyways read the tutorial what you can find here: viewforum.php?f=78

The MPQ editor alone doesn't help me and the other link doesn't lead to a concrete tutorial.

I checked some of the tutorials and none of them answers my question: I have patch-T with MoP textures, how do I put those textures to use? Yes, I get it, I have to use MPQ Editor to put it in the right folder, but WHICH is the right folder, and HOW do I put it in there. Tried with MPQ editor but I just can't work with it.

I downloaded Anthony's 9 gb patch with Cata and MoP content and placed it in my wotlk 3.3.5a data folder but that didn't make a difference. Please give me noob-friendly explanation.

Edit:Holy fuck. It worked O_O No idea how I did it.
