I'll just have to agree with Schlumpf, and I'm gonna take the most recent example I know, when Will released his ADT Converter he didn't get a single "Thanks" comment, only "This doesn't work" and "Fucking rep-hunter."

Think that's another issue. These days you can never make anything for others and expect much (if any) appreciation. Even common curiosities like "thanks for the share" are dwindling. It somewhat fueled larger communities, now it's... Well... Gone.

Personally, I just returned to WoW modding, and I've finally left WotLK behind. I've been working with Cata 4.3.4 for the past 2 weeks and so far have created a fully functional custom login screen from the outdated Alternate Shell and have made over 30 unique custom spells. For the community as a whole, WoW modding hasn't been so great, but for me I'm at my peak of creativity and motivation. I have lots of really cool ideas for a new server I'm working on ^_^

I started some months ago with serverside modding, like a hunger and thirst system.
My only problem is, that i don't exactly know, what i should mod.
My characters got hunger and thirst now.. they have food.. and now? D:
That's why i want to join Maruum as a developer soon. I don't need the ideas, i just have to code them. :)
