So I just got Photoshop working, and I just wanted to test it out and... I found the tool to instantly change colour of the entire picture (Or selected parts). So I wanted to test it out. And this is what I came up with, after some texture editing :D

Yes its only a recolore so nothing big. but that are the smale staps to get in this stuff :)

Hey that stuff looks pretty cool. I have my own server, im just learning this stuff. xD. What tool u use to edit that? do you have any tutorials or anything? i saw ur vids there pretty nice.

I just used Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and a simple BLP<->PNG converter.
Since the only part of the picture that contained colour, was what I wanted to edit, I only have to change the overall colouring.
It was pretty simple, really ;)

can you make a video tutorial? i dont know how to get the sheild picture or where to put it or anything. im a total noob at this shit... i also pay... if needed

I won't make a video... However here's the idea :
- Open the model you'd like to change, in Wow Model Viewer it'll be perfectly fine.
- Extract the texture you want to edit in png.
- Edit your texture in Gimp, Photoshop or whatever image editing program you like.
- Convert the texture back to blp. You'll find converters in the tools section of the forum ( viewtopic.php?f=59&t=784 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=784" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) ), or with a Google search like "blp converter".
- Create a new MPQ patch and put your texture inside. See this tutorial for more info : viewtopic.php?f=26&t=41 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=41" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

what do you mean by extract it from the model veiwer or whatever? sorry im noob...

Download Wow Model Viewer (the program), open it, choose a model to edit, and then file > export textures.

But renember this is a swap. All instances of this model will lock then this way.
To get both you musst cop the model and change the texture path inside it.

Ok so I go to the top left corner and click files > export textures.. > Then a pop up pops up that says model opened. And theres three drop downs(guessing use the one that says .blp at the end.. and at the bottom of the pop up it says export. export all. view in png. export all to png. export all to tga. when i click view png a little window pops up with the picture of my shield(i picked) idk what to do now

Oh okay i got it i went to the model viewer file and i went into exports and found the picture i opened it with paint and edited it. Its edited now so i convert the png to blp now? or what? and after im done converting it what do i do?

Thinking perhaps. It is a swap.
Read the MPQ basics.
You must creat a patch file with your blp inside in the same path it is original located.
If you have a patch file with a file in that is already located in a minor MPQ or pathMPQ, WoW will load your copy and not the original. So you swap the original with yours.
