Title: [Wip?] Stromgarde New Architecture

Well, i decided to make new architecture for Stromgarde, it doesn't look as a capital city, capital cities in wow have custom models...
I'm going to make 3-4 houses to be later on built, in two different ways, to make the city look really unique

That's what i've got so far:

If someone can actuall help me converting this to m2 (tested GMES, 3dsmtom2 and whatnot, any of those work) would be really a nice thing.

Hey very nice work. I am also in the moment working with 3ds :) And also try to convert so all tipps in this thread whould help :)

Nice!
Really like it. The architecture style is a sort of mix of the northrend undead architecture and human architecture, right? Really love that.

I hope somebody's able to help you with the conversion :)

Oh and: thought of adding interior? Interior can be so much of a pain in the ass, but hiding and/or freezing parts of the model is a great tip I can give you when working on interiors.

Cloaking:
Using old WMOS as reference and making the door carved, placing it so the door outside collides with the door of the old wmo, you'll see outside the home, but inside will be the old WMO with its interiors, perhaps reskinned, this fixes also the problem with doodadsets :3

It's awesome SirFrance, seriously, if you could get that in the game, I'd definitly quit retail, join your server and RP as long as needed to become an important person in Stromgarde!

UPDATED added a new model :D

NOTE: the lexture looks low-res because i'm in low-res mode, in WOW the texture will be high-res

You want remodel all stromrade?
It will be nice if someone made new ramparts. Ramparts from blizz is really shoddy.

Perhaps a guild house? For guilds who are based around Stromgarde, so a guild has abit of their own domain in Stromgarde.

Also, the square windows' texture looks abit shitty (in my opinion), but you said it are low res pictures, so it might look better ingame :).

Yes it's REALLY low texture, ingame is high res :D
Guild House, Inn and Barracks are coming soon :D

It is very pretty!  Perhaps making the lower level stone or brick might look nice.

Also, I noticed a UV error on the chimney near the base, looks like you might have welding the wrong points or something.

Ye that error appeared when i subdivided to get triangles, but no clue on how to fix it ._.

Franc, I have got an idea. If your house have somekind of animation you can open them with blender and then export to m2i and from m2i to m2 :)

It hasn't any animation, how can i change from m2i to m2?

Its a converter, but I have had no problems with it yet. Also I am atm looking for a mdx plug-in for blender. Otherwise you could just take the .3ds version of your mdx  (I guess you got a .ms3d, .3ds,  or .obj file of it couse its hard to model in .mdx editors) Blender can open these files and export as m2i and then use m2i to m2.

if you still need help getting it ingame you can use Glitchys MES to change it from a OBJ to M2 the putting it into a patch i use it for my custom buildings
