Title: [SHOWOFF] Ancient Canyons - centaur styled zone

Hello, Modcraft. Today I want to make a short presentation of a zone that is going to be a part of Skarn project. Our project is dedicated to building a fully custom world, however this zone is emerald-dream based. It's fully implemented to the rest of our map. We've fixed all the unfinished parts of the terrain there. The screenshots you see are early WIP. I still don't like the results of my work, so the zone is going to be reworked. I plan to make my own custom groundeffects and some models. Thanks to all Noggit developers for providing us with such an awesome worldbuilding tool. Thanks to Cromon for his SharpWoW light editor which helped us very much with custom light creation.  If you're interested in watching our progress, check our threads here from time to time. Very well done. Looks Blizzlike. Only thing I dislike is that it's monotone.

Thanks for tip. I tried to add more colour variety but it lost all its atmosphere. Such zones should be monotone. Just look at desolace.

Desolace is close with the atmosphere and all but it still has more color variety with objects and such.

The emerald dream map is still quite recognizable because of those typical mountains, though the texture swap works pretty fine and I guess that someone without good eyes wouldn't understand that it is one.
 The atmosphere is really "cool" ( well, this is not the most suited word here) and there are a lot of details in the object spawning which is a good point.
 
 The centaur architecture has a whole potential that I always wanted to use someday, you can make quite interesting things with it if you use it well.

By the way, your video doesn't work.

Thanks. I'm not trying to hide from anybody that it's emerald dream. I just think it's right to use unreleased content instead of keeping it in the depths of MPQs. Thanks for tips :D

There is really only a few aspects we can look at here, since you've not moulded or textured your terrain we can only look at: The choice of textures, lightning and models. As for those three things I can only say good job, but as for now it is still only an "Areachange" as they used to be called back in the days.

Yeah, but you also should take into consideration the fact that emerald dream has a lot of unfinished terrain and texturing. It's almost done now. So, it contains a lot of building work too. The space on the top of the cliffs is also playable.
