[PROJECT] Looking for a small project
« on: July 27, 2015, 05:35:10 pm »
Hello Modcraft,
I'm looking for a <small> project., because in 2 weeks i start my informatic school education.  Everywhere i see that users want to start a huge project with new custom zones or anything like that. But i'm looking for a project like build an small island or a new capital city. Im not sure, if i want to start a new project, but maybe someone want to do the same.
My idea:
Small Island as new capital city
    With NPC's for jobs(and vendors)
New dailys(with own tokens for fun items)
In WoD style(new .wmos from ashran)
Im sorry for my bad english, i hope u know what i wanted to say :)

That kinda sounds like a concept idea that i had.
I wanted to implement jobs like farmer, hunter, lumberjack, miner and stuff like that.
I had in mind that it would play on a group of some islands, where people could actually build own houses and create small citys.
Island 1 has resource A, B and C, Island 2 has D, E and F, Island 3 has A, E and G and so on.
From time to time the players could "find" new islands (aka devs will deliver a new island when it's finished).
Sadly i've got a lack of Noggit knowledge, so my custom maps are kinda bad. But i'm good on the serverside and can do core mods and c++ scripts. :)
Hit me up with a PM if you're interested, maybe we could start this together.
(Afaik you're german too, you can write german in the PM if interested)

Hi,

I'm interested in both your ideas and I'm in a similar situation but instead of 2 weeks, I have 6 months free before my actual education begins.

Kaev, I have been interested in that kind of a project where players can create there own territories however there were some limitations which put me off before. Anyway maybe we all could talk about this project if you're interested in help with C++ server modding and LUA UI modding.

I recently created a map system in which any map can be turned into an "Instanced" map. Although I call it Scenario Map, however, it can be also be used as a (town)builder map. Maybe we could all discuss more ideas?

That sounds good. Write me a PM with your Skype name, if you have skype. We can talk about this :)
