Good luck on this Project :)

its to alpha to show to public
-
Thank you Zark!
Zim4ik, sorry if i have misunderstood your comment, but I am not sure how something can be too early to show to the public in the context i have presented it? I did not tag my thread as 'Showoff' but as 'Project.' If i were to showoff, then yes, a finished concept would be appropriate. I however, am merely trying to show you progress of my project in the hope of constructive feedback in order to refine my team's work and improve it. Perhaps even pick some people up on the way too. If i was showing off my project, i would post it in some Narutard forum, not here.

Please comment.

looks nice) maybe you retex the trees?
-
I already have. I made them darker green to make it look more 'cartoonish'. You cant really see them in that screenshot. I was planning on importing new trees, but they are hard to model i think?
-
if you have made buildings... it not hard)
-
I will look into it
-
If you love Naruto - you'll definitely love this one. And - as I love Naruto - I'm already in love with this project. Good luck!

Konoha update:

Thanks for the encouraging comment. I hope to see you in-game! :)
And if anyone can suggest any appropriate existing game objects i could use to fill the village, please let me know.

I'm impressed by all the custom models. Are those M2s or WMOs?
You may want to work on terrain shaping a bit. It's way too flat. Also, maybe try around with texturing a bit.
-
They are m2s at the moment. i plan on implementing them as wmos soon, when i have time to read up about it.
Concerning the terraining and flatness, i couldn't agree more. The only problem i have is that the ground within the village is actually an m2 as the whole village was designed in 3ds max and imported in chunks. I suppose i could just raise the terrain over the m2 ground instead, but i have no skilled level designers within the team at the moment.
Oh, and I'd just like to thank you personally for your work on the noggit beta, it has been an essential tool in the development of JutsuOnline. Awesome work and thanks a lot.

buildings looks nice. could u take a picture from the city with this models?

You can see the buildings up closer in this. Skip to last third of video...

While I personally completely hate the theme and style, I must say you did a pretty nice job to get a project this far. It looks pretty nice, however, (in my opinion) you should use some more detailed textures for your buildings.
-
Also, you should build stuff using noggit, not by spawning game objects.
-
With larger buildings it is hard to get good textures cos we only use one blp file of 1024x1024 resolution.
If you can make any particular suggestions, that could help. Any particular bulidings or particular textures you dislike?

Not really one building, but it's the white texture on a lot of buildings that I dislike, but it could just be me ofcourse.
-
Yes dont spawm as GObjects.
Take more time in ground extuting.
Add more details. Like street side stones, lamps and other stuff like this.
-
Okay, ill look into updating the white texture.
Going to start adding smaller additions, like lamps, cables, rocks, etc tomorrow. I'll post updates on it tomorrow too.
-
This is really nice but i got one little question:
Why don´t you use stuff like UDK when you already create all the objects on your own? :P
-
Yep, we are also working on a unity project at the moment too.
-
Updated the first post with new, better screenshots..
Still trying to import our villages through noggit rather than spawned objects, but struggling as collision doesn't work with larger m2s.
Looking to expand my team, so get in contact!
-
You HAVE to change those buildings into Wmo's.
-
link meh a tutorial then plx

Nice project, I played on here once back in the day.. But that was years ago. ( if this is that same project.)
back when it was based in southern Kalimdor I think it was.. I don't remember. But, the progression from what i've seen is fucking awesome. Keep up the good work.
