You demand a lot but give no reason why anyone should work for you. It's your concept and you are not deviating from it. It requires a lot of time and skill. Why would anyone do it?
This is constructive feedback, because this would be my thought process.

Paid developer jobs and buying items via "donation". Yikes. I won't say more.
-
Be aware of earning money with world of warcraft is illegal. Blizz doesnt care if you call it a donation. Your system with spending money for saving items is not allowed.
-
New positions opened since there is a C++ developer in the team.

Blizzard doesn't seem to really care about any of the private server projects. How long has Molten WOW been around?

$1000 says Molten WoW is - Blizzard developers

Rly?

While most small servers escape the view of Blizzard's legal team, there is always the risk.

Why are you all speaking of this here, in this particular thread ?
Deep6ixed, you ignored my private message and you dare coming here trying to be smarter than others and continuing this poor discussion ?
Please, everybody, make a thread about this and stop answering there. I can even create it for you if it's too hard, just ask me in PM.
-
How am I trying to be smarter? I was simply pointing out a huge misconception, Blizzard, like most companies does take steps to protect the IP that they own. They tolerate most of the Private Server community because it costs them more to sue than they can recover. Scapegaming was sued for 88 million.
As for ignoring the PM, Since when is it a requirement to respond? If I wanted to join the project, I would have simply replied in the thread or sent you a PM. I work with Maruum, when I have time.
Most of us here do what we do because it's fun and we enjoy it, not because there's money involved.
That's the last I'm saying about any of this.

Well, again stupid discussions and flames about earning money from private servers. I've already said this millions of times on Ownedcore. It's possible but heavily depends on the country you live in.
I live in Russia and here people run huge private servers (50k and more online on all the realms. They have barely legal donation systems and Blizzard cannot do anything with them except threatening as long as the server hosted in Russia and the admin is Russian.
This system should work for most countries except I think some European ones and USA. If you don't sell items or anything for real money it works. By donating to the server people give a server some money, and the server gives them some kind of local money (bonuses, points, christals, whatever you like). Having this type of unreal money players can buy items or anything else you want them to buy, and it works in most cases because players buy unreal goods (in-game ones) for unreal money that cannot be used anywhere else except your server (that means that they're not real). If you make your players use PayPal for buying items, you will most likely get sued or at least persuaded to close your server.
Speaking about earning money, modcraft community is not dedicated to making private servers that can be profitable for you. That's only your choice. We are just a community of modmakers who like modyfing the client and creating zones, models, tools or serverside content.
To sum up, if you want to earn money - do it but try to use the safest way. In addition, try to host your server in Russia or other country that is safe for that. Well, a kind of profflink for you: wowcircle.com (I am not advertising it) . It exists for about 10 years and works fine with a huge online. That's because of their right money politics and the location of their servers.
P.S. Please guys, no more flame on this theme here. Everything I told you is properly tested by Russian private server admins for years. Good luck.

Still looking for motivated people.
-
Added team member Mineos (C++ developer).
Still recruiting for the positions listed, especially people with client editing skills.
Also recruiting a web designer (unless you're coding and designing the website).

You should be grateful for the extra exposure and free bumps.

Miaxos joined the team (LUA developer - core and client).
Still looking for SQL developer, C++ developers in priority.
The banner is going to get updated very soon, with the release of the website.
-
Updated the thread with new members, new informations on server progress, new picture, new banner and a preview of the upcoming website.
-
Can loot player corpses? Like, their actual items? That sounds awesome and I'm impressed. I didn't think something like that'd be possible.
-
Updated the main thread.
For more informations about the features, click here.
We are still recruiting, check this page and this one for more informations.
There is one C++/SQL/C# developer who already contacted us and will certainly be added to the team list.

You can apply right now on our website !

I'd work on this/play here if there was a PVE option too, and if you made the environment considerably harder.
For instance, if some idiot dies to a boar, then I get to loot all his stuff.
