Title: Nogg-it No Longer recognizes Custom Continent
Post by: =┤Samibotss├= on October 23, 2015, 01:08:17 pm
Hello Modcraft,

I have my nogg-it setup as usual and today I decided to link it to my Model Viewer.However,I started Up Nogg-it and
My Custom Continent didn't show up.I tried unlinking,changing config,etc.. but nothing worked....

Here is my conf -
#This is a config file template. To use it rename into noggit.conf and set your options
#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
Path = C:UsersDavidDesktopWorld Of Warcraft - The Burning CrusadeWorld of Warcraft - 3.3.5a (12340) - enUS (No Install)

#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
ProjectPath = C:UsersDavidDesktopWorld Of Warcraft - The Burning CrusadeWorld of Warcraft - 3.3.5a (12340) - enUS (No Install)Datapatch-f.mpq

#Set this to the file where you will import models from (the model viewer log for example  )
ImportFile = C:UsersDavidDesktopWMVNoggit WMVuserSettingslog.txt

#The far clipping value. Set to 2048, 3072, 4096 etc. for a further look. Higher values need more 3d power.
#1024 is the standard value and will be taken if you do not set this value.
FarZ=124
I have my custom patch and stuff...

Any Hints?  :D

Hello ac-web,

I have my nogg-it setup as usual . . .
I'm sorry, but really? Ac-web? Talk about no effort in the copy/paste.

Also when will we stop calling it Nogg-It? It's not called Nogg-It.

Uh... wut? You make no sense.

Anyway, make sure you have your map.dbc and the custom adts in your client.

Also you set your project path to a file name. o_O It wants a folder name.

Blunt assumption, it's the area outside of defined areas (0x0, so to speak) and are caused by missing sky and skybox data.

How to fix?

You got a reason for the problem described. Is not it logical that a problem can be fixed by eliminating the reason!?

But here really is your answer :D.

I personaly never have Light.dbc in DBFilesClient or in patches in my Noggit's Data folder. Simply because I hate how light settings behave in noggit and how they tend to obscure my vision a little bit. Yes, I know, I can turn fog off (and I keep having it off all the time), but still, those lighting effects are just a nuisance for me while working.

So, try to get rid of your Light.dbc. Keep it in client's MPQ patch, but don't put it into data used by Noggit. We shall see if it helps.

I don't even have light.dbc in my patch

*facepalm*
Do you think that Noggit doesn't open and use blizzlike Light.dbc from blizzlike MPQs when there is no edited version in your custom patch? In that case you wouldn't be able to even open ANY blizzliker content in Noggit.

I've only followed a tutorial, I know nothing about world building :(
