[SOLVED] Texturing on 3d models...
« on: September 04, 2014, 09:23:54 pm »
Hello once again, and I'm sorry for this "spam"

But I'm facing again a certain problem, why do my textures look like that instead of the one displayed in blender? Has anyone had this issue before?

I'm no expert but that looks like a uv map problem.

I'd be happy to help you over skype.

AS you siad its Spam

if u were reading toons of Tuts about making 3D models you could know that u need to export model to3DS then to OBJ and then convert thats how to prevent UVmap "FackingUp"

The reason why I did insisted in making from 3ds Max a obj, is because the .3d studio format did not show my textures inside Blender. But, after seeing your advice I did do so and it apparently worked perfectly. Despite, your answer being a bit sarcastically, I still want to say thank you a lot, because if you and your tutorials did not exist, then my models would of not made it inside the game.

Still... sorry for this inappropriate spam and thank you once again, all of you.

ps: i love you, dahaga.

You dont need to use 3Ds Max Studio

Just in Blender

1. Load Model (Format irelevant)
2. Do what you want with model
3. Export as 3DS
4. Import back this 3DS NOW YOU CAN DO ONLY MINOR EDITS
(dont mess with UVmap you can change only pose scale of model and vertexis)
5. Export as OBJ
6. Convert To M2

Just export as 3ds. Handle the short texture names is needed.
Throw into mirrow mashine.  Always works for me.

On the other hand i never got an m2 working. Need to install blender for it and don’t find time for it.
