Title: [QUESTION] [WotLk]
Post by: Sickof on November 01, 2016, 09:05:22 pm
My problem... see the pic
hand_1h_artifactstormfist_d_01.mdx It's only to right hand so I need another hand_1h_artifactstormfist_d_01.mdx to left hand?
Or problems with dbcs?

Blizzard have done something to make every right hand weapons to turn into a left hand weapon automatically if you equip it in your left hand.

So as long as I think, you'll have to change the orientation by yourself and duplicate the m2 to get a lefthand version.

Its... WoD? Legion? thing. Yes, in WotLK one has needed to have 2 separated left handed and right handed models in cases of fist weapons. So you need to take that model and I wouldn't turn it, I would apply one negative scale to it, to get mirrored version. You'll also have to make 2 items, main hand and off hand item.

If you can't do 3D modeling or port stuff into WoW, you are simply screwed and need to learn it to solve this.

Since Cataclysm there is a flag in itemdisplayinfo.dbc that mirrors the fist weapon, but as far as I know it doesn't exist in WotLK.
You need to mirror the weapon by hand, either in Blender, or creating a rotation with global sequence in PyModelEditor, as you do with the helmets (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?p=57774#p57774) (If the model has animations this is a must).

It was introduced along with transmog. However, most asymmetrical weapons, like the Spine of the Thousand Cuts (http://www.wowhead.com/item=78878) weren't flagged until MoP.
